My prediction: SCO will become a military alliance within 10 years

Here is my reasoning.

Russia wants SCO to become a military alliance.

Iran wants SCO to become a military alliance. Uncle Sam keeps picking on the Iranians. It must drive them crazy.

China will eventually come around to the idea of SCO becoming a military alliance. Uncle Sam will keep annoying China in the South China Sea with ship passages and aircraft flights near the Chinese islands.

The world changes over time. Since the US is pushing all three counties simultaneously, there is a high probability that they will form a military alliance. I give it a maximum of ten years.

Remember, you heard this idea from me first. SCO has a high probability of becoming a formal military alliance within 10 years. China, Russia, and Iran together can more forcefully resist Uncle Sam. This is almost inevitable.

India will never join any military alliance, we will only wait and watch if anything like this happens. Also as far as India-Pakistan is in the group it can never become a military group.

India Pakistan bickering will prevent this from happening, thus u see the pressure from Moscow & Beijing to both adversaries to mend ties, UFA statement & recent Modi's lahore trip right after Moscow visit is a clear example of this !!!

China will probably cooperate with Russia for the aircraft carrier and sell some destroyers and subs to Iran.

When the time comes for a military alliance, I am only predicting these three core countries and the Central Asian states.

The pending members of SCO are too weak militarily to make a difference.

I'm predicting an Eastern SCO military bloc vs. a Western NATO military bloc.

With india and pakistan in the group it can never become a military alliance.

As far as india is concenrned, moment there is any such a movie india will get itself out of SCO.

For pakistan, with its air force comprising of mostly F-16's and other american equipments, it cannot have such a luxury of joining a anti american alliance. That will be axing its own foot.

Military alliance comes with time

Pakistan has to first improve relation with its central Asian partners improve trade and also improve trade with Russia etc and grow that aspect , and also help reduce the tension between Turkey and Russia etc

Pakistan 100% trust China , and based on that trust , we signed up for Shanghai Cooperation , from a trade partnership for peaceful nations. And yes its 100% true we should improve trade and economy and understanding between cultures with our regional friends

It is a great platform to improve relations with other countries

Russia will probably buy some Type 052D/055 destroyers from China in order to bolster their aging surface combatants.

In return, China will probably buy more Su-35 and S-400 in order to make a balance between the trade.

1. India has informed the US not to meddle in Indo-Pak affairs beyond what India says.
Russia as a long time partner knows this and thus has never even tried to go beyond what we have said. So no, Russia is not prodding us at all on anything related to Pakistan.

2. China has zero leverage or importance for us. Unlike Pakistan for whom China is next to US in terms of leverage and influence, what they say is downright irrelevant to us. This was communicated officially to Beijing in more diplomatic terms when a few years back they did issue a statement on Pakistan's prodding. Since then, after our response was communicated to them, they have remained absolutely quiet on the issue.

3. India would have no military alliance with any nation barring Russia.

4. What India does(also Pakistan) at this point is irrelevant because neither is a full member of SCO. So SCO is free to go ahead and form any alliance.

Which critical weapons do you think that China should arm for Iran?

In ten years, China would become a huge economic and military power.

If China wanted to, Iran could become as important to China as Israel is to the United States.

China could arm Iran to the teeth to assert control over the MidEast.

Advanced radars, including anti-stealth radars. SAMs. Stealth aircraft. Real-time satellite information sharing regarding the Middle East region. Advanced UCAVs (possibly including Dark Sword). It could be quite extensive.

The other approach is to establish massive Chinese military bases in Iran to protect the country. The Chinese military personnel are experts with the Chinese weapon systems. They are the best qualified to use them. Protecting Iran would assure China a steady supply of oil.

Everything depends on whether Uncle Sam keeps pressuring all three countries over the next few years. If so, a militarized SCO becomes increasingly likely.

By the way, Iran is a huge country. I think it is like 2.4 times the size of Texas.

Texas: 268,820 square miles

636,400 / 268,820 = 2.4 Texas
