My first visit here and my last visit too: Oprah Winfrey

"India my first visit here and my last visit too,” Oprah Winfrey‎ said.

Asked why she doesn’t plan to come back ever again, Winfrey said with a visibly confused and disappointed look on her face, “I don’t know.

The talk show goddess seems quite upset with the chaos in Vrindavan which ensued when three of her bodyguards were arrested for roughing up scribes and damaging their equipment. The incident occured when the journalists were chasing Oprah while she was shooting her new show, Oprah’s Next Chapter, there.

My last visit to India: Oprah Winfrey - Hindustan Times

Hahahahahaha indians ye kia ker dia aap ne apnay mahmano ke sath?

. . . .
I would be equally irritated if she being a visiting "Guest" would be mistreated in Pakistan due to her skin colour and ethnic origin / Nationality.

. .
Lol at all the people attacking Oprah.

I'm not a fan of hers, but I would like you guys to know that if any of you were able to amass even 1/1000th of her wealth and success in your lifetime, I would be really surprised.

Yeah, nobody's gonna miss Oprah. Well, if she could dance...........
And Oprah is no statesman/stateswoman, is she now, huh?
And that statesman, BTW; was an ex-president. Chogy, you sure can do better than that!
A TV creature cannot match up with a statesman.

Not really. I will wager everything I own that Oprah Winfrey is FAR more recognizable around the world than your ex president. I don't even remember his name.

The places she visited are far more recognizable around the world.

Cheers

Hmm... reminds me of the aged Indian Statesman who got frisked by the TSA. Indians went nuts.

So is it "Our country, our laws" or "We can mess with Winfrey's group all we want. We don't know her, don't care about her. But don't you dare mess with our revered statesman."

Wrong analogy, in Abdul Kalam's case a protocol was breached by TSA, while in case of Opera, her bodyguards broke law.

USA just adhered to the laws of the land and suspended the TSA guys for breaching protocol, nothing more and nothing less.

Of course, Oprah is a BRAND like TROJAN or PAMPERS or GLAD-WRAP or SPAM.
Our ex-president was not made in Madison Avenue. So that figures. Of course I've even met Americans who could'nt tell me what the 13 stripes in the US flag stand for. So how would you know what the name of an Indian ex-president is?

So don't waste your belongings on a meaningless wager.

Weird logic, everyone knows Bin Laden, few people know the gentleman who's got Nobel in physics last year; does that mean Bin Laden deserves better treatment than the Nobel laureate?

if we have allowed her bodyguard to break the law, these people will say u obey and keep ur tongue tied in front of westerners.

So it doesn't matter whatever u say :D

Cheers

BTW they did treated Binladen far better than any celebrity. In middle of tightest security, full supply of amenities... etc.
:D

Elderly? Mr Abdul Kalam is an 81 year old former President of India. He was deliberately humiliated by your red necks at the airport simply because he is a Muslim and has a Muslim name. Which idiot in his right mind will suspect an 81 year old respected former head of state to be carrying explosives concealed in his underwear? How do you compare APJ Abdul Kalam with Oprah Winfrey? Just meet with this man some day and tell me what you think of him. A man with a towering intellect yet so humble and scrupulously polite, simple and down to earth. When the foreign ministry decided to take up his case, he was the one who insisted that the Americans at the airport were only doing their job.

Indians would have treated her better if she was of a different....Lighter....colour...
Indians only get impressed by Caucasians not blacks.

It's all in your mind, you consider white people to be superior than coloured people in your subconscious mind and base logic on that.

Do you know what is straw man argument? You raise a straw man, set it on fire and kick the cinders around the stage and yell - Look, it's my opponent's dangerous straw man! There is whatsoever no indication that Oprah was treated badly because of her colour.
