It was winter of 2008 in Peshawar and I was in my early twenties. I was and am an entrepreneur & one of my small scale business was to import Blackberry cellphones form Dubai & sell them online on OLX and few other classified websites in Pakistan. Things were going great along with all this I was running few online businesses and was in 2nd year of electrical engineering at UET Peshawar.
One day I got a call from a person on my work phone and he asked for availability of 4 blackberry cellphones. He said he is in Nowshera and will visit me in a couple of days to pick the phones up. On an upcoming Sunday two guys came to pick up the phones when I looked at them I once thought why these guys need 4 Blackberries and upon asking them they said they need them for their school & college going kids I was like wow. They had pure taliban looks, shalwar above their ankles, turban and long hair, they were smoking cigarettes. I usually use to deal with such people in a public place near my house I offered them cold drinks at a refreshment shop and they said ok, after a while one started to smoke Chars (Afghani hardcore Cannabis
) just inside their old white Toyota Corolla state car.
I was confused as they looked so religious and than doing these all things, anyhow I handed them the phones and they just checked the boxes than said we need to make a call I said ok! They unboxed a phone put their SIM in and gave me their own phone and asked to dial that number from blackberry. That number was saved with the name of "Major Partab" a Hindu name and their were no commissioned Hindu officer in Pakistan Army at that time, I realized that something is wrong, anyhow I dialed that number from blackberry and he went out the shop and talked to the guy on phone, came back and said ok fine we will take these phones. Than another strange thing happened, he gave me the money in US Dollars, I got really worried plus it was a big amount for me so I thought it can be fake, I asked them I need PKR not USD he said we just have USD I said ok you have to wait I have to get the bills checked. I called my father he came & said the bills seems fine you can take them (My father is a finance manager). I told my father the whole story and he said just don't tell this to anyone but I told it to one of my relatives in Army and he said most of the TTP operatives operate from Nowshehra area at that time and they use blackberry for secure communication as it was the most encrypted communication method at that time, later PTA banned all blackberry services in Pakistan and I eventually stopped selling stuff online as I had a bad experience a year earlier.
A year ago I was running a website to send sms from web to mobile phones. I had a server in my home attached to half a dozen mobile phones with the SIM's registered on my names. The text messages sent through the website were routed through mobile phones at my home. I was earning good & one day all my SIM's failed to registered to the mobile network. I called one of my cousin in Zong and asked him what's wrong with my SIM cards he checked my numbers and said there is a note against my accounts "Phone numbers terminated upon request from Military intelligence" I went through all the text messages sent that day and found out a message was sent to fine numbers threatening and killing some one along with a suicide attack threat. I said to myself I am gone! I called my cousin again and asked him more details and provided him the numbers the messages were sent to he said the numbers are of some Government & Military officials, after that he never answered my call lol. Later that that four guys came in a local dress and in a military vehicle identified me and asked me to go with them. I was some were in military cantonment area in Peshawar. I was questioned by them for two hours and told the two guys whole story they came back to my home and took my server and phones. Luckily I was saving all the sent messages and IP addresses of sender, the IP's pointed to Afghanistan. I gave them the IP addresses and database of sent messages. Later my father by some sources came there and helped me get out of there it was a terrible day and after that I were never allowed to do anything like that by my parents.
So the purpose of this thread is to tell people that RAW is behind most of the terror going on in Pakistan along with CIA, NDS & other agencies.
