Give it up mate you are talking to a professor from The national school of law.
@Joe Shearer i admire you patience , i would ignore and move on.

Yes some professor of management studies at the the Law school against the words of former justice of the Supreme court of India and couple of former solicitor general's of India. I think the choice is pretty simple.

It just goes on to show that the so called "right wing" media is more tolerant than the leftist rags and news channels that are running amok in this country.

Look how the these leftists are out to get the JNU registrar, Dr Bhupinder Zutshi now, simply because he handed over the video recording to the police. Rea point 3,

That applies to everything leftist- Leftists ideology can only allow leftists and no other ideology- they may quarrel among themselves hate each other to core but they will allow each other while fiercely oppose anything which is not left- Else their fort will fall-

The leftist media has no moral authority to question Zee News- It may be right wing but Its certainly not for sale- like the leftist news channels who have been seen shamelessly framing news and taking bribes- I remember Zee News was criticized in the same way when they raised questions on coal block allotment during UPA- People were saying they are sold out news channel-

On your second point I would say rifts have come inside JNUTA over the current stand some teachers are accusing JNUTA saving some fellow Professors who were involved in the organization of the event on 9th Febuary-

.
You got what he said in his explanation- I agree with your points however I would leave the decision to be taken by the courts- They are far more qualified to make the appropriate interpretation of how seditious the act on the campus was-

I have even see a slogan where calls for freedom by the use of Arms were being raised- However I am not in favour of slapping sedition on Umar or any of the students unless they have linkage with Maoists or Jihadis- May be small charges like disturbing peace, law and order If they don't have any links- That too just to satisfy public rage- I hope this case doesn't turn out like Nirbhaya where special Judgement was given just to satisfy public anger-

We have to understand no country loving Indian would agree to what has been going on in the universities by the left should be left untouched It should and must be corrected- But the flith have collected over decades and It cannot be wiped in one stroke- timely cleaning should take place- and here I would hope the Govt- to take some clever steps and set up Police outposts in every University along with proper CCTV surveillance

There is a case for sedition but it might not stick considering the laxity of our court to this issue. But that does not take away the Merits or Facts of this case.

The protests and sloganeering in the JNU campus is very much an incitement to violence. It seeks to encourage people to become terrorists and attack Democractic institutions of India. There is NO ambiguity about this. "Till the destruction of India, there will be war, there will be war" is clear enough.

To defend this is akin to the muslims defending "Jihad" by claiming it asks for "peaceful reform" No one is in any doubt about what kind of Jihad the history speaks of. Same is true for such terrorists sympathisers are supporters from JNU.

This has nothing to do with public rage. Just fallacious arguments are used to speak in support of Afzal guru, by misquoting SC of India. That his conviction was due to "public rage" and that is why he was hanged.

The moment you make such an argument you choose to discard the merit of the case and provide more fule to the fire.

Given the history of violence in India and the number of lives it has taken (Tens of Thousands) Iam not sure why you are advocating "tolerance". It would have been different if you were advocating that if India was a stable, non violent society not at war with itself.

But to support such support to Violence and incitement to Violence and encouragement to voilence in the middle of a war is SUICIDE.

Or are we not going to deny there is a war within India and the lives lost DAILY is just NORMAL and go back to living in our Cocoon ? Live in denial just so that we can pretend everything is good and that "poor kids" should be allowed to abuse the very people who are dying everyday to support their lifestyle ?

THIS is the first step in cleaning the "filth" you speak off. So if you are not with it, you are against it (to quote dear bush).

Just be clear about what you stand for, don't be confused. THIS is the reality of India and I assure you RSS has nothing to do with this.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh initially did not recognize the Tricolor as the National Flag of India. The RSS mouthpiece Organiser, in its issue dated 17 July 1947 demanded, in an editorial titled "National Flag" that the Bhagwa Dhwaj (Saffron Flag) be adopted as the National Flag of India.[70] After the Tricolor was adopted as the National Flag of India by the Constituent Assembly of India on 22 July 1947, the RSS mouthpiece Organiser viciously attacked the Tricolor and denigrated its being chosen as the National Flag of India. The 14 August 1947 issue of the Organiser, in an article titled "Mystery behind the Bhagwa Dhwaj", stated

"The people who have come to power by the kick of fate may give in our hands the Tricolor but it never be respected and owned by Hindus. The word three is in itself an evil, and a flag having three colours will certainly produce a very bad psychological effect and is injurious to a country"[71][72]

Further, M.S. Golwalkar, the second sarsanghchalak of the RSS, in an essay titled "Drifting and Drafting" published in his book Bunch of Thoughts, lamented the choice of the Tricolor as the National Flag of India, and compared it to an intellectual vacuum/void. In his words,

"Our leaders have set up a new flag for the country. Why did they do so? It just is a case of drifting and imitating...Ours is an ancient and great nation with a glorious past. Then, had we no flag of our own? had we no national emblem at all these thousands of years? Undoubtedly we had. Then why this utter void, this utter vaccum in our minds"[73][74][75][76]

The RSS hoisted the National Flag of India at its headquarters in Nagpur, on 14th August, 1947 and on the 26th January, 1950 and stopped doing so since then.[77] This issue had always been a source of controversy. In 2001, three activists of Rashtrapremi Yuwa Dal– president Baba Mendhe, and members Ramesh Kalambe and Dilip Chattani — along with others allegedly entered the RSS headquarters in Reshimbagh, Nagpur on 26 January, Republic Day of India and forcibly hoisted the national flag there amid patriotic slogans. They contended that RSS had never before or after independence, ever hoisted the tri-colour in their premises, even on Independence Day and Republic Day. Offences under relevant section of Bombay Police Act and IPC were registered by Police against the trio, resulting in their being jailed. They were released after 11 years in 2013.[78][79] The arrests and the flag-hoisting issue stoked a controversy, which was raised in the Parliament as well. In 2002, subsequently the National Flag was raised in the RSS headquarters on the occasion of Republic Day for the first time, after 52 years.[77]

Flag committee recommended a Saffron flag with blue charkha

"On the questions of colors and device of the National Flag, there is unanimous opinion that the National Flag should be of a single color except for the color of its device. If there is one color wholeheartedly accepted by the Indians in the context of its ancient tradition it is the Kesari or saffron color.Hence it is felt that the flag should be of Kesari color and the device should be that of charkha which should be in blue. The Committee recommend Kesari or Saffron color for the National Flag, with blue Charkha at the left top quarter and wheel towards the flagstaff. 2 After taking into consideration the opinion of provincial committees and members of A.I.C.C the Committee recommended that the National Flag should be in Saffron color with emblem of Charkha at the top corner and submitted it to the Working Committee. But it was unacceptable to them and after discussions arrived at their conclusion. It was placed before A.I.C.C in August 1931. After much discussions the tri color was adopted with dark blue charka. The saffron was recommended for courage and sacrifice, white for truth and peace and green for loyalty and valor. Thus the A.I.C.C set the official recognition of the National Flag through a resolution"

"The Committee included Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Master Tara Singh, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru, Principal D.B. Kalelker, Dr. N.S. Hardiker and Dr. Pattabhi Sitaramayya"

http://www.indiapolicyfoundation.org/slider1/Report of the National Flag Committee.pdf

Committee recommendation was not accepted because of this ...

“There was a challenge to the National Flag that had come to be respected by kings and rulers and the power that ruled over India for 200 years. It was under that flag that the Congress made great sacrifices, and today, under no circumstances would they give up the ideal for which they had lived and worked.

A supporter of freedom of speech, not a terrorist supporter. There is a vast difference. Unfortunately it is apparent only to those with a minimum of ability to spot the difference.
This Statements are getting more frequent among so called liberals, they dont oppose when Kamlesh Tiwari was thrown into Jail , but they will oppose when students making anti-national statements are arrested.

Why Freedom of speech is only applicable to Anti-National Speeches not for expressing other views of religions or prophets.

If making controversial statement hurts religious statement why cant making anti-national statement hurt us??

Of course there is a vast difference and by using my minimum ability i spot you as terrorist supporter. You talk about "freedom of speech" and yet you want to suppress mine by countless personal attacks on me and others who doesn't buy your lies.

You are a hypocrite and not even leftist and that's why my first quote on you fits well.

You always need somebody to blame and you always end up blaming Hindus in the end we seen that in the past 10 years of UPA rule, how they want to create Hindu terror and wanted to pass the Communal Bill, where in any riot the Hindus will take the blame. We are not naive.
