My Adventures Across China

2013, HSR wasn't completed back then :O. You got pictures of Wind Farms, I heard China's wind farm are gargantuan size.

A 10-km hike was a total torture when I felt exhausted after 30-hour sitting in the hard seat. I felt I could easily died from heart attack or encephaledema anytime.without a sound sleep.
Now I'm scared to visit high altitude sickness.

...nice pose with panda head!
my altitude sickness starts at around 3000 m above sea level....at more than 4000 i can't think straight...

I suffered a lot cause I did't have a sound sleep.
No worry! I felt OK in Tibet, except that horrible night at EBC(5200m).
Wind Farms would be in the next next chapter.:-)

Even now, HSR only links Urumqi to Lanzhou of Gansu Province, we'll have to wait for the rest section between Lanzhou and Xi'an of Shaanxi Province. Then It will cut down the time within 20 hours from Beijing to Urumqi(now32-39hours/3300km), but I'm sure the CRH sleeper will be very pricey. It'll be more sensible to start a Silk Road journey from the official start, Xi'an, then Lanzhou-Zhangye-Jiayuguan(Great Wall's west end)-Dunhuang(Mogao Caves)-Xinjiang

Northern Sichuan is ok since there are enough trees and grassland, so is Lhasa.

Gansu Province is famous for different styles of noodle.
So cheap(8yuan=$1.3)....And they called it small plate.:o:
I fully recovered from altitude sickness!!!

They are birds. So I don't feel disgusting. :-)If an animal eat it firstly, vomit my belly out.

Jiayuguan City to Dunhuang City
From Jiayuguan, I chose a train to Liuyuan Station then transfer to a bus instead of taking a direct train to Dunhuang, a major stop along ancient Silk Road. In that case, I would experience G215 National Highway, along which one of the world's biggest wind farms is locate.

How long was it? I heard was hundreds of kilometer long. It is true?

Btw, Jiayuguan was featured in National Geographic around 16:52.

Soldier writing passport is new for me.

It is said to be the biggest, but hundreds of kilometre is maybe exaggerating, or it means one after one in a row?? And it is still growing.

A Mitsubishi Pajero driving on a Chinese highway. Nice. ;)
Oops, it's not a highway, technically;)

I have AIDS. Acute Income Deficiency Syndrome. Blessing of wealth wasn't in my favor. I'm afraid the trip to China must wait.
Then I think you'd better have the real one:lol:

NG? U mean the TV channel?

mind you guys the Huanglong travel include a 4~5 hrs trip on foot (3100~3800m above sea level). it's not easy. there are oxygen stations along the travel path.
