Muslims should also be cremated BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj

Why cremation should be the only way to do it?
I didn't say it should be the only way, these things can be debated upon. Few people raised issue about how cremation adds to pollution but that didn't get any attention.

.
Graveyards are just wastage of land, cremation will free up a lot of waste land for better useful purpose.

.
Christians and Jews eat beef then why don't Hindu's?

Gosh, plenty of hindus eat beef - officially water-buffalo - a distinct species of bovine. The meat is cheap and easily available so the poorer classes [as well as the rich chaps] have it in their diet.

I guess then those, who lynch people for consuming beef don't fall in that "plenty" category.............. .

UP see communal fights over ever expanding kabristan, at least this issue can be debated upon. This guy is a motormouth but at least this topic can be debated at large among Indians.
Hindus do eat beef in many parts of India. And this issue is often comes up for debate.
Sure if the Indian Muslims, who are allegedly the second largest representation of Islam in any country are willing to debate then it's their choice. My point was to illustrate the significance of religious practices, which aren't just confined to Islam and drawing analogies in that retrospect to denounce some, is absolutely irrelevant.

. . . .
While in a densely populated country like India, graveyards can become a problem but cremation is not the answer. I don't know about the Christians, but we Muslims take burning really really seriously, it is hellfire that we are trying to avoid so thought of burning our dead ones is you know, disturbing.

I think the answer is recycling of graves, Saudi style, but then majority of Muslims oppose to that as well.

Nah its highly unlikely that Muslims arguably the most religious community in the world would comprise on their beliefs for your convenience. There was a report from Indian news recently about how Ganga is the most shitiest and polluted river in South Asia due to lumps of dead Hindus floating in the water.

And people are talking about polluted Ganga and floating dead bodies and how to clean it up, all I am saying is there can be a discussion about it.

Lets put religious ways aside, cremation is counter productive for ecosystem. You must listen to
Neil deGrass Tyson on how one should get rid of the dead body.
Also what is the wrong with burying the bodies?

Let me put it this way - very little 'real' beef is consumed in India - that's what riles these right-wing groups and to that extent they are not successful in lynching any meaningful number of people simply because nobody eats cattle in India. What is consumed - and often goes by the name of beef [though it is not and tastes tougher] is water buffalo meat - which these right wingers have no qualms with.

All this emphasis on beef eating is just a ploy to stay relevant.
