yes they need to...but unfortunately after 9/11 they have started wearing religion on their sleeves...even the previously-non religious ones...

Because before 9/11 many Muslims did not harbor ill feelings towards the US.

Many were happy to see it as a world leader in technology, culture and human rights. They were willing to stand by US many of its interests

Events after 9/11 changed all that. Muslims suddenly felt pariahs in the international community. The were welcome no where. No wonder many Muslims turned to their own culture/identity/heritage for refuge in a increasingly hostile world

Did you know a Sikh driver in Australia ran down and killed one of his passengers because he poured alcohol on his turban. At least the Muslims went to court in Minnesota.

As for taxi drivers, they all want alcohol banned in their vehicles. Intoxicated passengers are the largest troublemakers

Yes, I remember that case: they were refusing to carry passengers with alcohol in their baggage. I don't know how they ascertained it.

it is a small community of daft immigrants getting together and deciding what they will do.

The point is why generalize these small instances and give them so much press coverage when 99% of Muslim cab drivers probably would drive drunks home?
