yes the Muslims of the nation were given a land in 1947 if they are not interested to be part of INDIA, they can migrate to PAKISTAN. BUT I seriously doubt if the MUSLIMS of INDIA who have a great deal of loyalty to this land will ever do that.

try to understand people from the time of independence have been demanding one thing or another , certain groups demand we break ties with Pakistan some with Israel some with the US . what happened??? NOTHING .
