Muslims flee Myanmar unrest as death toll rises

India should interfere in this. No matter if its their internal matter. But I think strategic thinking will keep us away from doing humane work.

Geo-politics will cost so many innocent lives.Where are all the super powers and human rights activists ?

Oh please.. Didn't we learn our lesson in Sri Lanka?

And these are the same Bangladeshis who accuse Indians of hegemony.

Why do some of these people do not learn from their past mistakes and keep on doing things which ends up giving kicks on their back sides? They have done it where ever they are present and then they relent when they get the reactions back..

Lesson to learn - If you attack/kill/rape then do not expect roses in return..

the only solution may be to provide weapons to Rohingya so that they can protect themselves..
same ay as Syrian rebels are being provided weapons..

People here have the audacity to say that the whole 800,000 Rohingyas are ok to be killed because a few of them raped a Buddhist girl......
Apparently a Buddhist girl is more precious than a whole race......Good logic

In a jungle country where Police is either incapable or Unwilling to safeguard a minority from Mob Justice...It my be justified to let them defend themselves...

our army is far better than burmese army in quality

we r lack of equipment n money

personally i dont like burmese people

As if some bengalis can conquer mayanmar. Hahaha ask their viet brothers what they will do to yo! Burma will distroy bengali land..

are you serious? They can't even eliminate 50-60 Kachins and take land from their control!!

China will defend Burma from NATO and OIC onslaught, mayanmar is a former Han Chinese ally!

Whoever is orchestrating this ethnic strife against Muslims wants exactly the reaction you are stating. You have easily fallen for their trap. China so far been quite but it would be difficult to see China supporting ethnic cleansing in Myanmar on the count of “Han” background. And reading more comments you are more likely a false flagger acting as Chinese. Can any other Chinese member vouch for your background?

On the topic: Suu Kyi and anyone governing Myanmar should be person non grata in any capital of OIC and OIC should actively campaign to isolate these thugs.

I don't think he is a false flagger. Just not that informed about the situation in Burma.

Burman's have problems with Han Chinese too. Here is an interesting example of a Burmese Chinese stoking ethnic conflicts to oust his own ethnic group:
Ne Win - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ne Win, born Shu Maung (ရှုမောင်), was born into an educated middle class Burmese Chinese family in Paungdale about 200 miles (320 km) north of Rangoon.[1] He spent two years at Rangoon University beginning in 1929, and took biology as his main subject with hopes of becoming a doctor. However, in 1931 he was expelled from the university after he failed an exam.[2] Ne Win eventually became "Thakin Shu Maung" or a member of the nationalist organisation Dobama Asiayone (We Burmans Association). Other members of the group included Aung San (father of Aung San Suu Kyi) and U Nu. In 1941 Ne Win, as a member of the Ba Sein-Tun Ok (Socialist) faction of the Dobama, was one of thirty young men chosen for military training by the Japanese . Their leader was Aung San and they formed the Burma Independence Army (BIA). During military training on the then Japanese-occupied Hainan Island Shu Maung chose a nom de guerre, Bo Ne Win (Commander Radiant Sun). In early 1942 the Japanese Army and the BIA entered Burma in the wake of the retreating British forces. Ne Win's role in the campaign was to organize resistance behind the British lines.

Chinese people in Burma - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1962, Ne Win led the Socialist coup d'état, establishing the Revolutionary Council under the Burmese Way to Socialism. In February 1963, the Enterprise Nationalization Law was passed, effectively nationalizing all major industries and prohibiting the formation of new factories. This law adversely affected many industrialists and entrepreneurs, especially those without the full citizenship.[41] The government's economic nationalization program further prohibited foreigners, including the non-citizen Chinese, from owning land, sending remittances, getting business licenses and practicing medicine.[42] Such policies led to the beginnings of a major exodus of Burmese Chinese to other countries—some 100,000 Chinese left Burma.[36]

Although a kabya (Burmese Chinese?) himself, Ne Win banned Chinese-language education and created other measures to compel the Chinese to leave. Ne Win's government stoked up racial animosity and ethnic conflicts against the Chinese, who were terrorized by Burmese citizens, the most violent riots taking place at the time of the Cultural Revolution in China in 1967.[36] All schools were nationalized, including Chinese language schools. Beginning in 1967 and continuing throughout the 1970s, anti-Chinese riots continued to flare up and many believed they were covertly supported by the government.[43] In 1967, Latha Secondary School was torched by the henchmen of Ne Win's government, where school girls were burnt alive. Similarly, Chinese shops were looted and set on fire. Public attention was successfully diverted by Ne Win from the uncontrollable inflation, scarcity of consumer items and rising prices of rice. The 1982 Citizenship Law further restricted Burmese citizenship for Burmese Chinese (as it stratified citizenship into three categories: full, associate, and naturalized) and severely limited Burmese Chinese, especially those without full citizenship and those holding FRCs, from attending professional tertiary schools, including medical, engineering, agricultural and economics institutions.[14] During this period, the country's failing economy and widespread discrimination accelerated an emigration of Burmese Chinese out of Burma.

There are estimated 3-4 million Chinese migrants that are flooding into bordering regions of Burma. But Burmese govt. is powerless to do anything about them, because they are involved in business and have money and also because they are Chinese. But Rohingya on the other hand are targets of violence and ethnic cleansing, because they are weak and powerless, even though they are indigenous to Arakan.

For strategic and economic reasons Burma is valuable for Chinese, so they will be careful in their stance. Both Burma and Bangladesh are important nations to China I believe and it will be difficult to choose one over the other. Ideally for China, the problems would be solved without Chinese involvement, because any firm stand on any side of the issue will antagonize one of the two countries.

I would characterize it as trying to not deal with a problem and hoping that it will go away by itself. Unfortunately problems like this rarely go away by itself and without taking any side, China is confusing both sides. Non-interference has its down side I guess.

In any case, I heard Rohingya's are already arming themselves and with support from Bangladesh and other Muslim countries as well as their diaspora community, hopefully they will train well and learn to defend themselves.

He is right.China is the biggest ally of Myanmar. They defended them in the past they will continue in the future.Chinese have huge economic interests in Myanmar far more than they have in Bangladesh or even Pakistan. These are just fact, whether you like it or not.

why dont you give back southern tibet to china, and end you illegal occupation

There is no South Tibet. If you have any doubt ask Indian members from Arunachal!!

We indian and pakistan people in PDF are strange people....we find reason to fight...although we are alien to the issue....The people who are main players...like China, SE Asian nations..and of course partial player like BD are silent observer only...Everything happens in PDF....

Myanmar will not stop persecuting these unfortunate people. These people have gone through tough times for the past 250 years thought they have lived in that region for ages. Myanmar is single-minded in persecuting the minorities and no country can do anything - the military junta eliminated 100,000 Burmese Chinese in 1960s but China had to remain silent for geopolitical reasons. The junta eliminated 300,000 Burmese Indians again in 1960s and India after reducing the diplomatic engagement with Myanmar till 1990s made a complete turnaround and started engaging them actively. U.S and other western countries tried sanctions but they have seen those efforts failed and now are engaging Myanmar.
It is very very unfortunate but that is a sad fact that no country can do a squat with Myanmar.

Their bases are quite near, our navy can use the c 802s to take down the bases in the south and our f7s to take down the ones in the west. Its possible, our military needs massive planning in huge secrecy. We have a base near cox's bazar, Arakan can easily be taken, where those commies have nothing in the west.

This map is incomplete / outdated. More bases have been set up. At Akyab for instance. They have even constructed forward landing strip as near the border as Buthidong. BAF must be keeping a track no doubt.

1.History tells us that the Burmese race are perhaps the most cruel and rapacious that civilzation has witnessed. They massacre and physically destroy. They are extremely racist who look down upon other races and cultures.

2. They can be curtailed only through force of arms, nothing else.
