LOL I have never had any personal grudge with you. I like your comments as long they are not about IslamKeep your bullshit grudge with me out of this.
LOL Why are a bunch of Men "deciding" what "our" women SHOULD wear or not? Can't the women read? Let's educate "our" women in both Religious and Secular studies and let THEM decide if they wish to have their regular activities in a tent or in a bikiniSaying that a woman can wear more modest clothes while doing gymnastics is not ''totalitarian domination of Mullahs''. We have a religion, keeping ourselves and our women a little covered is part of it. It has nothing to do with secularism, and quoting Ibne Rushd does not want me to abandon those parts of Islam. We are not saying it should be illegal for women to do gymnastics. We are saying she shouldn't do gymnastics in revealing clothes. It is an opinion and a perfectly valid opinion.
You MEN have no right whatsoever to coerce, force, persuade "OUR" Women into wearing something that they do not wish for themselves . You MUST give them a freedom of choice without imposing Shariah on them yourself!
LOL Did I specifically asked Muslim women to get dressed in Western Bikini like You claiming they "should" be dressed like this or that? No, What I meant was that Muslims worldwide adopt to same dress code as their peers in any field of life. And DO NOT demand "special" privileges just because their religion says so. If your religious rulings are so much of an importance to you, then DON'T participate in such activities in the first place. Instead of first participating in it on free will, and then whining about it later because the organizers forbid you from changing your dress code with your religious oneThat's the difference between liberalism and pseudo-liberalism - the latter is just about shoving ''western values'' down everyone's throats.
LOL I haven't abandoned any part of Islam. My stance is pretty clear already regarding this funny issue. If that Muslim woman had decided to participate in Gymnastics in the same kind of sportswear as her other international competitors, she did NOTHING wrong. And these Mullahs had NO right to criticise her for her decision. Its HER decision after all what kind of clothes she SHOULD wear and not of some Madrassah clericsIf you've abandoned a good portion of Islam, that's your problem. Don't expect everyone else to do the same.
Good. At least here you admit it's still HER choice what she should wear, and no one else'sShe can practice gymnastics in stretchable fabrics that cover the legs if she wanted to. But not doing so is her choice. So be it.
AgreedAnd here I'll say it again, these so called clerics and Mullahs who impose their sh*t on others are the Biggest Cancer not only in the Muslim world but for the Whole Planet.
More AgreedThey are the reason why Muslim image is derailed in the Whole World.
ALLAH never ORDERED anything. He REVEALED his divine teachings through the Holy Prophet and then he gave US THE CHOICE what to do. AGAIN, ALLAH never ordered us to do anything. Its still our choice on how do we interpret his commandments and follow them in real lifeForget about clerics and Mullah, they are what they are, I am also a huge critic of them. Please educate me on what are the orders of Allah regarding clothing?
So just one Koranic verse, without any context attached to is enough of a proof?O prophet, tell your wives, your daughters, and the wives of the believers that they shall lengthen their garments. Thus, they will be recognized (as righteous women) and avoid being insulted. God is Forgiver, Most Merciful. (33:59)
I don't think Women in Arabia during the time of revelation of the Holy Quran participated in regular sports as women do today???Yes, I know that Purdah in Islam is necessary upon every woman who has reached adulthood. But thats in normal circumstances, no mention of dress code of women while performing different sports .
LOL Great! WELL SAIDAlso these affairs are in b.w that person and the God himself, who are these 3rd persons to tell others what to do?? There are always means of forgiveness and har kisi ne apni apni kabr main jaana hai ..
HAHAHAHAHHAIMO, there are more important things to worry about than 'the revealing clothes of women' .
He is not "suggesting" anything. He is telling you a FACT right in your face that these Koranic verses regarding dress code of Muslim women are WAY out of context regarding present day situationsBhai, are you suggesting that Allah forgot to make mention of how a Muslim woman should dress in what you describe as 'out of normal circumstances'? or Allah was unable to envision or foresee that one day Muslim women will take part in Gymnastic?
Unless some Mujtahid (learned Muslim scholar) reform 9th century interpretations of these verses and make the adjustable with modern day standards, there is no hope for gullible Muslims
Yeah, lol . Please do tell us how we, who live in Tundra regions of this earth, dress our women "loose" in extreme winter when "normal" temperatures are -30 degrees or lessThis means that the Islamic dress code for women does not only consist of a scarf that covers the head, the neck and the bosom; it also includes the overall dress that should be long and loose. So, for instance, the combination of a tight, short sweater with tight-fitting jeans with a scarf over the head does not fulfill the requirements of the Islamic dress code.
It DEPENDS on where the women live. Local climate and weather also have something to say on WHAT we should wear. I laugh hysterically when I see some Somali orthodox women on the streets in a complete tent-like but loose BURKA when it's freezing like hell outsideNo Mullah ever said this. Its the book of Allah, the Quran asking women to cover their modesty.
HAHAHA. Islam is not backward in any sense, just like Christianity or Judaism is not backward. The problem is that its the Muslims at large that are backward who unlike Jews and Christians, actually FAILED to reform their religion with the changing realities of the modern worldIts not our fault. We live in a world where our values and our culture is subservient to western culture which is more prevalent and acceptable. So by that standard, Islam is a backward, repressive regime that forces women indoors blah blah blah. When this narrative is repeated ad nauseam, we too feel the heat and want to escape this perpetual inferiority. So any act, no matter how irrelevant which gives us even a semblance of conflicting this belief, we jump on it and begin to celebrate and bad mouth Islam personified as Mullah.
How is it anywhere "immoral" to adapt a dress code that is universal for the said sport? Are you nuts? Her country might have applauded her. So be it. But if you look at from Islam's perspective, she has committed immorality.
Its not like she is gonna WEAR it like this 24/7?
Surely, these MULLAHS of yours know more than Allah himself. That is why they have put themselves IN CHARGE of telling us what's written in the Koran and Hadith without letting us find it out ourselves freely.A lot of Muslims today think they know more than Allah (swt) and thus can override his commands by making lawful that which Allah (swt) has made unlawful.
