we are even forbidden to build mosque on a usurped place. something people forget in Pakistan when they use extortion and threats to expand or build madrassahs and mosques

just reminds me what Muhammad PBUH did when he visited Jerusalem and although he was offered by priests to say prayers inside the building he instead went out and said his prayers

I don't understand praying in crowded public places. Here in UK if there is no mosque near then there are always prayer rooms in many airports and large public buildings.

and I am so sure that we will also react negatively or even violently
if imagine some poor chap tries to pray to his gods in a public place in Pakistan? we offer no mercy to non-muslims in Islamic countries but demand/ expect full or even more rights in the west.

there is always a discrete way of saying prayers without compromising the devotion and faith.

in UK the AL Mohajiroon guys do some things and say things that are bound to cause a reaction and then use the victim card.

I guess the question is, what they did was illegal? I think it was not illegal so long the building is not a private property. If it was a private property, and certain rules/regulations were posted, and the visitors were made aware of those rules/regulations, than what they did was illegal. I guess people are not sure whether the ESB is a private property or not. At any rate, given the present situation (post 9/11), even if it was not illegal, it was definitely in bad taste. However, I don't think those who were doing this show of piousness even gave it a thought.

I have witnessed 'jamaats' in speeding trains, and flying airplanes, while totally ignoring the comfort of the other passengers. We are a society of ignorants, extremists, and inconsiderate people, who believe in getting everything, but returning no favors. Take for instance azan and khutba. In this day and time of technology, is there really a need of giving azan using loud speakers? or giving hours long sermons on loudspeakers? We never consider that there may be some student(s) preparing for his/her exam, or there maybe a sick or old person trying to get a nap. We really deserve whatever is happening to us. I used to think that non-Muslims are biased towards us, but now I realize that we are as much or even more biased towards others. We cant take care of those who share faith with us, how on earth will we treat those well who do not believe in our faith.

We are a society of ignorants, extremists, and inconsiderate people, who believe in getting everything, but returning no favors. Take for instance azan and khutba. I couldn't agree with your more. It really is the most annoying thing on the planet when people think it's their birthright to use loudspeakers at odd hours, disturbing children, the sick, and the elderly, all in the name of religion. I find it selfish, inconsiderate, and a public nuisance, to put it mildly. There is absolutely no justification for the use of loudspeakers to show your piety and devotion towards whatever it is you believe in.
