Musharraf to face Pakistan probe

It is called Musharraf ki yaad aaee Musharraf k JANE k baad.

Pakistan is missing Musharraf so much these days that a summon has to be issued through SC to see him back.
Hahaha, hillarious... Dekha kitni yaad arahi hai!

I have a critical point if you could explain because I see this event unfolding at a very late stage. My question is why didn't the CJP take notice of Musharraf when he was enjoying his spoils in Chak Shahzad. It makes no sense. If we really wanted him to be "punished" than that clearly was the chance why were we sitting on our laurels more specifically why was CJP not acting, is he thick?

The lawyers movement massed an army of black coats fearless unstoppable, no police no Musharraf could stop it, and put Iftikhar Chaudry right back on his thrown. We cheered him we knew it, this was it the lawyers will petition in the legality of Musharraf as President. But CJP didn't even want chair this very important constitutional case. Than came Nov 3rd everyone was pinned down by guns. Musharraf a defeated dictator won by a miracle, coming from certain person. If CJP had made it into a speedy trail made Musharraf illegal to run another term as Army Chief and President than there would never have been a Nov 3rd.

Is there any chance the CJP will declare NRO as illegal ? I dont see any chance. few days back before Musharraf was summoned by the SC, The same CJP said elections under Musharraf are legal and PM and President is legal.
How someone who was brought under the cover of illegal NRO can be termed legal?

It seems sheer victimization in case of Musharraf.

I think its an attack upon the Establishment . I was amazed to hear abt the american stance. Man those guys really squezed the juice out of him and left him just like they did with ZAB,ZIaulHaq or shall we say Saddam-Hussain .

But whatever happens i hope this should open the eyes of those who are considered as assets by Uncle-Sam.

Tragic .:tsk:

^^^^I think there is a solution avoiding the US poodles in future, and we can reach this solution by reviewing our foreign policy. It should be made a law that any foreign policy will be decided only by the parliament and not by the individual.

We have suffered a lot during the last 30 years due to individualized foreign decisions, e.g. Zia's stance in Afghan war, and then Musharraf's stance in War on Terror. Ironically both the decisions were made in national interest and both are contrary to each other, especially regarding Afghan policy, and both lack consensus or , at least, popular public opinion. Would these decisions had been made after some debate on a public forum, we would have avoided the contra effects of these decisions. I should clear that I am not talking about these decisions to be good or bad, but I am talking about the way they were imposed.

If we start making policies on the base of open debate and not on the base of our own liking or disliking, US will find it hard to have any asset for it in Pakistan. This is why they support dictators because they can easily use them for their benefits. While a parliamentary democracy does not suit them.

Sure why not if its challanged let it be decided than. But do bear in mind NRO only lasted upto February 2008 so any cases dismissed before that cannot be opened, since 99.9% came from the MQM you might see them reacting quite fiercely to it.

Yes the CJP did legalize Musharraf's double power (President/COAS). But only up to a set date after this deadline he should have remove his is uniform and allowed someone else to take the position of COAS.:D

I dont need to remind you that Musharraf didn't for fill this pledge, his inner cowardice never left him.

The point that you said "The same CJP said elections under Musharraf are legal" this is not true as Musharraf is not god, constitution or election commission. Elections are held under the terms of the constitution and not by an individuals view, otherwise they are bias and no one will want to compete. The Election Commission organizes the elections hence it says whoes won and not Musharraf as explained. So this isn't true.

I believe USA doesn't need more assests then it already has. This Musharraf drama had to be raised right now. I am sure that you are pretty senceable person. Why did they raise this issue which could off been raised right after CJ. I feel USA has 3 main assests in Pakistan. One media esspecially the owner of GEO who lives in USA stamford CT. Second our judiciary third our government. Our media only change pakistani people opinion. Little flash backs i would like to give you. Musharraf time media only talked about drones attacks and how when our Military was in sawat during Musharraf's time. This very media was against all this. This created the negitave opinion aginst the president and the government of that time, which happend to be Musharraf. When election were held this media gave all support to PPP and how started to trim people mind how PPP will be the only winner. After election CJ "the bigggest crook of all time, who brought this country down to it's knees, CJ morally should have put the file down and said i and my fellow judges can't give the honest virdict on this case since we were victims of Musharraf for example. No where in world this would be acceptable but Pakistan USAis conducting the biggest operation in afganistan with 68,000 troops and we are talking about Musharraf. Why? the answer is we are told to do so. In this operation thousands of talibans will be pushed into Pakistan from afganistan, but our media will not give coverage instead it will be after Musharraf. We have all the problems in the world but we want to fix Musharraf and not talk about how to work on our problems. This government is doing so bad then even PPP supporters also talk bad about this government. So this government wants to talk about Musharraf and divert people attention from the real issues. Third assest i can't name everyone should know.

You have it exactly wrong - events in Pakistan are directed by Pakistans pursuing their own interests - Suggestions of the US being all powerful in Pakistan are ridiculous, fact of the matter is that the prime movers of events in Pakistan are Pakistanis.

These dramas are part of the way politics is played by Pakistanis.

I Totally disgree with you, I strongly believe our media plays all these games and change our opinion. Did people come on the road to punish musharraf? NO. one summon was issued by SC to musharraf. In which he had to just explain his Nov3rd acts either if he wish he can come down to Pakistan or represent it by his lawyer, Next day this media takes it and makes it like his trail is conducted. Our all the attention from IDP's WOT, electricity ETC is diverted. Brother what you are saying i wish it were like that but it's not.
