'Mujib: The Making of a Nation' releases today in 200 halls

Non-Bengali muhajirs should have supported the freedom fighting. Instead, they joined PA army and did all the heinous crimes. Historically, Bihar was almost always a part of Bengal.

But, they betrayed us.

It's hard to imagine the same people rioting under the slogan Islam is Pakistan mere 25 years ago, for which they left material and ancestral ties for, would easily vouch for slogans Death to Pakistan, Long Live Bangla. It takes special thick skin to pull off such shameless trickery.

You people cannot explain creation of Bangladesh nor the Bangladeshi identity 50 odd years after your alleged independence.

His daughter claims that he is supposedly the father of the nation, but many doubt it.

Being the "father of the nation", his image is in all the bank notes.
Who decided to put his face on the banknotes, who decided that he was the father of the nation? Maybe these people thought "India has Gandhi,Pakistan has Jinnah...we need a figure too for Bangladesh". Man,such corruption!

On the night of 26 March 1971, this father of nation waited with suitcases in his Dhanmondi No 32 house ready to be arrested by the military.

Actually, he was for a political solution. He was supposed to be the PM of joint Pakistan. He had the majority in the Parliament.

No problem without a father of nation. But, if there is one, it is only Shaikh Mujibur Rahman who can be regarded as the Father of Nation and no one else.

Maulana Vasani was the first politician who gave the idea of an independent Bangladesh. So, he should be our father of the nation.

Mujib biopic will present Bangladesh history to people: PM

Well we Pakistanis did wrong Bangladesh in 1971. So we got our punishment.

Also important to note that Bangladesh is not geographically connected to Pakistan.

But, they betrayed us.
They betrayed their land where they were living , then these jamati, bihari traitors were kicked in back by pakistanis for whome they betrayed their own country .

Now with that money India will buy one more RAFALE to use it against Bangladesh.
You will not get even a jhaant of Rafael in 84 crore .

It seems Fall of Dhaka is perpetuated as fall of Muslims in Indian temples.

A name itself is not that important. Biharis in BD should have fought for the land they were living and not for the other side of the world tagged with another name. Name itself is not important.

Bengal is an old name of our land, the same as Hindustan or Punjab.

Mujib biopic is good to have but why didn't we produce it in house in Bangladesh? Why the coproduction with india? Why the director is Indian we don't have capable directors in the country? A great opportunity to showcase our talent wasted.

Why?

Gandhi was produced by the British.

Why does it need to be produced in house?

I loved some of the comments made on social media about this 84 crore load of hooey.

"A film where the audience also has an opportunity to act" - referring to the crocodile tears Randi Rona by AL party people and students (easier to brainwash).

This being said, Raisul Islam Asad as Bhashani and Towkir Ahmed as Suhrawardy did great as character actors, so did the guy playing Tikka Khan.

You see - it is all connections. Ms. Hasina's propaganda strategists are all Indian, they chose Shyam Benegal the cultural whore.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bangladeshi directors had turned it down beforehand. Some of them do have a backbone.

@saif Bhai , I admire maulana Bhasani! But I am also angry with him because he is the founder of the "Trouble" named Awami League!

Although later he resigned from that dirty party , still the unbearable damage was done already!

Tbh in subcontinent, people from lower class family background can't do politics other than establishing kleptocracy!

We already know what BAL is doing!

Yes indeed BNP was corrupted no doubt!

But BAL is in different league! Almost every single person are not only thief but also sycophant , and no body dare to criticize Hasina, because Hasina love flattery!

Loving flattery is a lower class attitude IMHO!

So actually Bhasani'd ideology was flawed and he realized it later left Awami League ,but then already it was too late!

Even title of the movie is fake.

Bangladesh was creation of generals like Ayob Khan, Yahya who brought Bhutto in politics and made him PM.

It is Pakistan history, military in BD (East Pakistan) were ordered, not to fight with Indians Army to get rid of BD.

Other reasons may be involved no geographic importance of BD for West Pakistan, Over Population, Flood, Poverty in BD. So, may be generals considered them burden.

Bhuto was a Puppet of Generals.
