I didn't know about this man and @Areesh gave good info about him which I accepted.

By leader I meant someone like Fidel Castro or Gaddafi who are as concerned about people in other countries as much as the people within their own country.

what india is doing in his own country why its not allowed religious freedom to there minorities why not control RSS terrorists...

I am a Socialist Muslim so I agree that India as a nation should evolve to become such a progressive society that other nations should want to imitate it.

.
The list also includes Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, Tariq Jameel, Sarwar Ejaz Qadri, Tahir Ul Qadri, Moulana Fazal Ur Rehman, Salman Khan, Muniba Mazari, Malala and Sami Yusuf as well..

.
useless space filling crap from the jang group as usual. I've yet to meet any nonindo Pakistani scholar in america who even knows his name...
Muslim world is fairly and horribly divided. People consider muskim from other Muslim country , a bad Muslim. How do you expect any one.to know their names ? Americans don't know nothing in general. Khair ..

Mufti Taqi usmani Sahab is a pioneer of islamic Banking . His knowledge spans modern day economics to core islamic economics to core islamic principles. He is not your typical islamic scholar who is limited to one side. I am not surprised to see his name on the list. Read more details about him and you shall be enlightened.

AMMAN: Renowned religious scholar from Pakistan Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani has been named on top of a list of 500 most influential Muslims in the world.

The list was published by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre, an independent research entity affiliated with the Royal Aal al Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought, Jordan.

Religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel and religious preacher Maulana Nazur Rehman are the other three Pakistanis featured in the top 50 of the 500 Most Influential Muslims in the world.

Mufti Taqi Usmani, who tops the list is a leadingscholar of Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence and Islamic finance. He is considered to be the founder of Islamic banking in Pakistan.

He has served as Judge of the Sharia at Appellate Bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan from 1982 to May 2002. He specialises in Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence and financial matters. PM Imran featured as the 16th most influential Muslim personality globally is a cricketer-turned-politician who ascended to the most powerful office in Pakistan in 2018.

Maulana Tariq Jameel, who is number 36 on the list, is perhaps the most popular religious preacher in Pakistan. The lectures of Maulana Jameel are usually based on self purification and avoidance of violence and the preacher like PM Imran is very popular with the young citizens of Pakistan.

It's painting target on his forehead.

.
He's not.

That he is, is just a media-led perception created by NATO and allied government.

Just look at al Assad and his wife. Do they sound like mass murderers ?? If they were then Russia and the Syrians themselves wouldn't support them.

He is a mass murderer

It isn't just about western media. There is overwhelming proof that Bashar ul Asad is involved in mass murder of Syrian people.

Just because he and his wife look cute is no justification that they are not mass murderers

.
Well deserved. It is no small feat to be the most respected Islamic scholar in both Pakistan and Afghanistan.

He is a major voice for Pakistan around the world, always speaking on behalf of our nation.

Even Taliban met with him to obtain fatwas and advice, he is a major force.

This is why Iran-backed sectarian assassins went after him.

I am a Socialist Muslim

No such thing.

It’s like saying you are an Atheist who supports Shariah.

Lol.

@Alternatiiv Burqa has always been part of our culture since the beginning of our conversion to Islam.

Furthermore, when you get to Quetta and KPK, even Hazara and North Punjab, the difference between us and Afghan Pukhtoons becomes less.

We should celebrate all Pakistanis, regardless of their choice of clothing (as long as its not immoral.)

Not this again lol....I second your view.

Then you should read this thread I had posted in 2016. It is an article by Nadeem Paracha about Modern Socialist activism among Muslims and in Muslim-majority societies in the last many decades.

Just ask yourself this question - who is the primary voice of the so-called Syrian Rebels ??

To speak of one example, the NATO accused the Syrian government of chemical weapon attack in the Ghouta area in August 2013. NATO and its allies that the Syrian government launched this rocket attack against civilians. And this was a silly argument because just days before, there had arrived an UNO delegation to investigate another previous chemical weapon attack that was supposed to have been carried out by the Syrian government, again against civilians. Why would the Syrian military launch a chemical attack against civilians when already there were international witnesses ?? But NATO was basically claiming, on behalf of the "rebels", that the Syrian military had launched the attack.

Pakistan should produce world class scientists, engineers and doctors. Instead they are producing Islamic clerics. This is why Pakistan is still slowly progressing in terms of science, medicine and education.

There are overwhelming proof of Bashar ul Asad bombing his own citizens with chemical weapons. What the hell are you talking about?

UN has confirmed it
Neutral observers have confirmed it

It is about time you stop supporting this mass murderer

.
UN has confirmed it

The UNO Security Council ( three out five members ) also passed resolution in 2011 that said that the Libyan military was killing civilians.

And then previously in 2003, the UNO could not stop the invasion of Iraq without the much touted "evidence" that Saddam's government had WMDs.

The UNO is generally a rubber stamp authority for NATO to carry out regime-changes.

Do you really wish to believe the UNO ??

Neutral observers have confirmed it

Who are those neutral observers ??

.
Who are those neutral observers ??

Media pieces after media pieces. Neutral journalists. Syrians themselves

All have confirmed use of chemical weapons by Bashar

You should stop defending that mass murderer. It doesn't feel good honestly

.
Maulana Tariq Jameel starts repeating himself after a certain numbers of lectures. You repeat yourself when you stop research and even stop thinking. Secondly he never takes questions. Which shows your grip in your field. If such person becomes most popular among the masses, it shows level of thinking ability and education base of the masses.
