You need to learn Islam to understand my objection.
And ghairat here can be defined as protectiveness of the family's females by their Male Guardians like Father, brother or husband. If you have a sister the feeling of protectiveness for her that you have that no boy or man from outside stare her or do her any verbal or physical harm and use her in any way, that feeling is called ghairat.
The sweat on my forehead is more Islamic than those who champion this Ghairat-Shitrat. Now what if your sister also stares back at the man ? Will you honor-kill her or imprison her ? Islam gives the female the right to choose her mate so who are you to stop her ? Leave aside Islam who are you to impose on her your misogyny, anti-democracy and anti-humanity ? She is a human in her own right.
It is often the case that those who hide away their family's females are the first ones to use foul words against females and the ones to form gangs and harass females and to be Talibanic. All this ghairat-shitrat thing is not from Islam but from pre-Islamic South Asian culture so right now stop indulging in it. Where goes your "Ghairat" when your neighborhood boy gets raped by a mullah in your own neighborhood ? Why do you associate your family honor with only the thoughts and acts of your family females ? What if your brother rapes a boy or becomes a mullah ? Shouldn't you go paani-paani with shame ? Shouldn't your ghairat be besmirched ? Your member name is Thinker3 so Think !
