The deal made at the 11th hour will be very painful for Pakistan in the coming months. The exiting UNDP chief in Pakistan had some sage words for the Pakistani Elite.

Here is the full interview my brother. Our leaders should drown themselves in shame.

Wow, bhai. He went all out and left nothing to put the elites on blast.
Now the question is will our elites come to the realization? My father always said one thing, "Jiska jar nai laga, usko asas nai ha".

This nothing new. My issue is why does the establishment get involved only to bring feudal lords into power to destroy Pakistan repeatedly? Why continue this boom-bust cycle?

Why not just rule indefinitely with technocrats and solve the economic problem once and for all. It would financially benefit the military-owned businesses as well.

You will realize the purpose of the establishment is not to protect Pakistan or let it prosper. The purpose of the establishment is to sabotage its economic prospects and ensure it remains a vassal state.

Never becoming an independent and powerful country, but barely surviving with enough nukes to threaten India. Notice how the IMF didn't put any restrictions on military spending or strategic programs? Yet Sri Lanka was forced to scale back their military?

It is a case of moles within moles and ineptitude multiplied. If the technocrats start working there are PPP and PML(N) along with their counterparts in the establishment to control the growth and keep it in check. Then when they nearly sink the ship there are the ones to run to technocrats to keep it just afloat -
They key idea is to keep it just afloat perpetually - because that is what benefits both the system and associated families but also the external interests to the system that want it there.

Think of the cartels and mafia.. they don’t want total chaos and crime because it doesn’t suit them. They want the chunk of your earnings as a small business for your “protection” and in turn they also make sure smaller thugs are kept in check.

The biggest mistake all “anti-establishment” forces make is to think its one entity when it isn’t. Its not every individual that is horrible or every general/bureaucrat running Papa Johns but that the positions and individuals that matter become that way. Be it due to the nature of society, external inputs or plain output of a systematic breeding from both within the state institutional memory and their own society (which isn’t exactly fresh but rotten to its own core) that creates it.

I repeat this often but a AF officer(rose to senior rank) once tried to kill a family member with whom he had a land inheritance dispute with via sonic booms because he knew the man had heart issues. So he took a PAF multi-million dollar Pakistani tax payer asset at low level supersonic over his village/town to somehow get this guy to have a cardiac arrest all because of being able to get the land he wanted.
If that does not explain everything as to why Pakistan is where it is I don’t how else to.

I have come across various types of economies such as free market economy, socialist economy, and capitalist economy, but I haven't encountered an "InshAllah economy." It could possibly be a more advanced Islamic form of economy specific to Pakistan.
