KARACHI: The chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has dissolved the Rabita Committee of Karachi and London, AAJ NEWS reported on Thursday.
The dissolution took place on the orders of Altaf Hussain.
Previously Altaf Hussain also dissolved the Tanzeem Committee of MQM two days back over receiving number of complaint applications from workers.
In the place of Rabita Committee, a seven member committee has been defined comprising of senior party leaders to carry out the political functions.
The move to dissolve the committee comes days after a incident took place at the MQM headquarters of Nine Zero early Sunday morning, when workers of the party manhandled not only members of the MQMs Coordination Committee but journalists as well. This action of the workers followed Altaf Hussains criticism of the MQMs Coordination Committee.
