Chinese people are pragmatic in nature. Chinese folks are coming in for basic economics. The hard point is they are here cause they make money. They spend money on infrastructure because its lot better then sitting on $4 trillion reserve. BTW the Chinese loan term to Sri Lanka Hembantota port was around 5%, they are not exactly handing money away !
Just because someone is going to open up business in your place does not mean you gotta bend over or be a sycophant to show your appreciation !

Vietnam and China has way better relationship compare to bd and India. Vietnam has benefitted in terms of fdi from China but bd dont get much benefit from India in terms of fdi. But then again India is not a manufacturing powerhouse like China. In bd fdi from China is 10 times higher then what India invest in bd. And this will increase many fold as sunset industries like textiles and other low value manufacturing move to bd from China as China will probably will only focus export items that fetch lot more money.

Made in China 2025 should have an export focus and a domestic goods production focus too. With the emphasis on making everything the Chinese need and demand.
