What's new

Mountain strike corps formally raised, its 1st division formed

depend on what scale of the helibone assault, it can be very effective thank to the mobility, we will strike where it most hurt such as your rear supply line and other key vunerability area of your strike corps...I don't know what is the current Chinese defense situation in Indian front, but introducing Z-20s will enhance the mobility and tacticle flexibility our our army in Himalayas...as I already discussed other helicopters such Mi-17 can do the jobs but Z-20 is better since we have experieces with Blackhawk for for over 3 decades in Tibet.

sure Z-20(though I don't know the specs) can be used for air assault.but then again,it'll be worst choice.Indo-China war around Himalaya,if ever happens, will be ground assault as Heliborne operation is worst choice.India use its Heliborne fleet just to move its force rapidly, not to conduct Air Assault,as Reinforcement will be pain in the *** and if stalled, entire mission will fail.

Every nation has their fighting doctrine, I don't know about India but I do believe that under the new chinese doctrine of winning a local war, the concept of high mobility is a must and very attractive that why China is interesting with U.S Army airborne Assault...only time will tell if this Assault units will be formed in Tibet. PLA certainly not going to stop that concept because you consider as worst choice...maybe it's the right choice for us.

1. We in BD have always been apprehensive about the true objective in raising this Strike Corps. India will never attain the capability or gather courage to invade Tibet/China. On her part PRC considers India minor irritant undeserving of any serious attention. And eventually when China does move into S Tibet and her territory S of the McMahon Line,we will see a repeat of 1962. India will not mess with Pakistan for fear of nuclear arsenal falling like rain.

2. So how is GOI going to justify this lavish expenditure to its half a billion poor? We believe the true objective of this Corps is BD.

ha ha
BD???? seriously????:o:

What argument does that make??? :/
A neutral analysis of this argument also implies that you are assuming that when India decides to attack Pakistan, it will do with nukes rather than conventional forces...[as if sayin: let's cut the crap and skip to the nukes :p ]

If not, then Pakistan's nuclear deterrent deters India the same way the Indian nuclear deterrent deters china. It's the same formula. No?
1.Pakistan has more nukes. It's strategic command structure does not involve bureaucracy politicians. By the time the Indians get their act organized, Pakistan would have already launched her nukes. Pak leaders GenZia onwards have made it clear that Pakistan will not hesitate to launch her nukes if invaded.

2.The quality and quantity of Indian nukes are no deterrence to mighty China.

your questions are irrelevants, any assault missions will be planned ahead on the duration and objectives to achieve that will determine the supply and how to score the kills. as for the ratio, with high mobility concept, we can have 20:1 and concentrate the maximum fire powers on that area.

with a division of 20 Z-20 an some area, we can have an overheming power and overrun Indian defense similiar to this video.

The only miscalculation is how much can your heli carry from high altitudes??? it has to carry less.. this is the advantage IAF will have.. it can start from lower altitudes with higher payloads... which is not possible in your case.. China has a huge advantage on ground force.. but on air power for CAS it is in sever disadvantage... that is why all the newer force with higher payload from india will be focused here

Fine pakistan will win Nuke war.. so is India... Once India gets hit by Nuke.. no politician will be required to launch a counter attack... it will be end of pakistan... so will be bangla also.. for no reason you will die because of the first nuke strike by pakistan...

May be we ourself will evaporate you as we know we will not exist so you will also be made sure not to exist..

so let me know our your location in your country ... i will ask our SNC to put that in their check list when an second strike is launched...

Gen Zia to Rajiv: We will nuke you,and you will nuke us. Both nations will be wiped out. But don't forget, there will still be a lot of Muslims in the world; but there will be no Hindus left.

Once dead... why we have to worry if hindu left or not... we dont need to worry.. the objective is you are dead along with us or not.. we are open enough to die.. if allah decided so

Nooo...look nuke is not a conventional weapon that you launch just like that. It is more of a deterrent than a weapon to be used in war. The question of effectiveness is irrelevant.

If an enemy attacks you,
eg china -> india,
india -> pakistan,

The attacker attacks for a purpose. To gain land, or to punish the other. The fact that the attacker attacks with conventional weapons is proof that the attacker cannot afford a nuclear exchange. The benefit/value of the land the attacker wishes to grab is nothing compared to a single nuke falling on the attacker's city. You simply don't want to push ur border 50km in exchange for a nuke on ur city! The fact that the attacker isn't even prepared to afford a single nuke on his city is the prime principle behind the deterrence of nukes.

Its not about who can destroy the whole country and who can destroy half. The whole point of war is finished when a nuke manages to take ur city. India wouldn't say that "oh look we attacked pakistan to take lahore, in the end we nuked all pakistan, while they nuked half india...so we still win".

Coz the point of war was: get one city (lahore)
result: losing half of indian cities
so who would trade half their cities to get one city?
The gains of an operation/war are planned before war, and if war is not feasible/affordable no one goes for it.

Did you forgot Battle of Longewala War....???

In which the IAF played the lynchpin role... as it was unchallenged in its task of mauling the PA armoured column. Had it been contested airspace with IAF aircraft being denied their task and shot down.. do you honestly believe the troops at Longewalla could have held out that long?

when you are not in war then self practice. Apna hath jaggan nath :)

okey okey have fun.. but don't say bad things about India...:cheers:

it's a two ways street

If PLA go with your logic that payload disadvantage on high altitude, they shouldn't even bother to have fighters there but the reality prove the opposite, we have J-11b and J-10, what we need alot of Z-20 there.

They did hold out with no IAF support for four hours. But yes, the decimation of the pakistani armoured thrust was done by the IAF.

Do you think that PA would have sent that armour and infantry into Indian territory without air cover, if they thought there was a chance of being attacked by the IAF? No, they expected to roll over longewalla and other outposts before dawn. The stand of the 'A' company thwarted those plans.
