Yes, every country seems to be concerned with air defence especially with the introduction of advanced fighterjets and missiles. Though I don't know how effective this system is against the stealthy flying objects but definitely Russians have been able to create a market for this system and this will force USA to offer something similar but apparently it seems to be failing in this regard as patriot missile defence system is insufficient and no match for S-400's capabilities and range.

You are right..this Moroccan announcement came right after Spain's announcement of its will to procure the F-35..

Due to its long range and high sensitivity, I think S-400 may even be able to detect stealth A/C and perhaps that's the reason behind the current surge in the sale of this expensive ADS.

That is true..add to it the new missile that was added to it that can hit strategic aircrafts like AWACS, Air refuelling tankers, Spy planes and more from around 400 km.. this one can also reach 180 km in Altitude.. it is almost a THAAD like system with this new missile..

Sir, because stealthiness does not mean total invisibility, it is the radar cross-section that appears to be much smaller for a stealthy object than a non-stealthy object at a given distance. So in case of S-400, it may be able to see F35 at a range of 200-300 km like a normal A/C would appear to it at 400 to 600 km range and that's enough to provide the ADS to reach and launch SAMs. By the way, Belorussia or Ukraine recently launch a mobile radar for large amplitude (~ meters) waves for detecting the stealth A/Cs.

You are forgetting 1 and only country who doesn't give shit about air defence...its Pakistan...we have made criminal negligence in this department across all the 3 armed forces...and still we are not pursuing it effectively

Pakistan just fielded some Chinese medium range Air defense systems.. but I guess long range is also a must.. IMO that will be coming soon either from Russia or most likely from China..

I believe S-400 is superior to anything China has to offer so we shouldn't be compromising on our security. If Pakistan does not have money, the rich and powerful officers (military, bureaucrats (civilian) and patriotic politicians should learn to live an austere life and spend more on defence.

I think some negotiations did happen but I'm not sure about what systems. But the negotiations were perhaps half baked and half hearted because our establishment should understand that Russia is in no position to sponsor such a deal through any discount or soft loan. Russia needs cash and Pakistan has to arrange it. There are many ways if the state is serious but I don't see that level of commitment or everything is happening covertly and all of the sudden it is revealed that some batteries of S-400 have been inducted within next 2-3 years.
