"More than 60 Syrians who want to enter the UK are in a stand-off with French police at the Calais ferry terminal.

The group have occupied a footbridge at the terminal in northern France since Wednesday, and today police moved in to clear them.

Two of the Syrians have climbed on to the ferry terminal roof and are threatening to jump off if their demands are not met. Twenty of the group are on hunger strike, according to reports.

"We thought that France was the country where human rights are respected," said Tarik, a 19-year-old engineering student from the southern Syrian city of Deraa.

"But we live outside like dogs, hunted down by the police, we see we are not welcome, how can we seek asylum here?"

He said he was convinced he would find "more humanity" in Britain and eventually bring over his mother and younger brothers currently living in Egypt."

Yep,in the end the europeans are at fault for tolerating such crap but contrary to popular myths the natives won't take it for much long.I was reading about the hundreds of somalis who drowned in the hundreds trying to get to Italy and to my surprise most of the comments on the articles were quite mean,people are begining to be dehumanised,they don't care anymore,they just want their lands free of such immigrants.The tension is rising.

And then? live on welfare and then criticize the country that gave shelter to you? Living on welfare isn't bad, criticisning the country when it deserves it, is not bad. But there are elements within the Muslim community who are blunt on imposing their system in the west while they themselves live on handouts.

Westerners are just too politically correct and are imbued with white liberal guilt.

As NATO has refused to intervene into Syria then what else they can do now. At least they should allow all those people who are looking to move; would be given a chance to move out of Syria and can be accommodated in different parts of EU countries as well as in Australia too.

Also I would say that NATO and Muslim countries should supply the people with each and every kind of Medical and Food supplies and also NATO should give them weapons supply on weekly basis; especially MANPADs, Anti Tank weapons, Bullet Proof Wests and Night vision with UAVs toooo.....

Lol no....Westerrn countries are countries you know not retirement homes for the homeless,nations with native populations who got tired of foreigners flooding in.NATO wasn't creeated for foreign intervention but to defend its members from an external threat,it doesn't owe the syrians nothing.

Immigrants are a different issue, i am talking about refugees. They will return to their homeland after end of the war. You don't have to grant them citizenship.

Oh man,you know they won't.Didn't you see in the article ? These guys were unhappy in France and want to go to the UK because they know that the brits have bigger handouts.Can you honestly tell me you think conditions in France are worst that the refugee camps in Jordan ? Let's be serious....they'll never leave,What's KSA doing for them ? The UAE ? They are in the vicinity,why don't they take them,why are they going so far,to Europe ? Let's be honest,it's not even our business,we have an economic crises on our hands,refugees should get help from neighbouring muslim countries.During the Yougoslaw war of the 90's you didn't see to much croats,serbs,going to muslim countries.Everybody should stop assuming that Europe owes them something.It doesn't.

Look at Bulgaria ,it's poor (by european standards) and it's flooded by refugees.Does the bulgarian tax payer owe them something? They need money to develop not spend it on refugees.

Everybody is unhappy all over the world,and they want to be happy in Europe,more then this many want to be happy in Europe with their laws and customs.Well,us natives want to be happy to in our own homes.
