Also the funny comment on our kind dividing the country on basis of religion. Did Maharashtra or Karnataka or Gujarat divide? What divided was Bengal. The Bengali Muslims hated the Bengali Hindus so much they could not stand them. Now Bengali Hindus have turned towards antagonizing the rest of India to hate them.

What was the percentage of Muslims in Maharashtra, Karnataka or Gujrat at the time of division of India? Now compare that to the percentage of muslims in Bengal and Punjab. Punjabis, had to undergo the pain of division even after being highly nationalistic than the rest of India.

Sooner of later, as things are going, they'll be termed assholes too. The seperation was imposed on us, we never wanted the separation.

As I said earlier, you guys remained toothless throughout the history.

Did anyone mentioned the Baroda State, ruled by the Gaekwad dynasty of Maratha confederacy, being a lapdog of Brits?

.
The difference is, the Maratha or Rajput kingdoms didn't really fight for the freedom of India, they fought to save their kingdoms, they were brave, they fought well, but not selflessly for the country called India. Similarly Siraz-Ud-Daulah is not considered a freedom fighter.

They fought for Hindus and their freedom. Siraz-Ud-Daulah fought for Muslims. Bengalis were on the side of the Muslims. Even the revolt of 1857 was to reinstate the Mughal empire and not for India.

So say the Bengalis who functioned as eunachs in the dubar of the nawabs.

Very good, history tum hi likhoge, :enjoy:

The British got hold of India only after the fall of Bengal in 1757 in the battle of Palassey, so the term of Bengali being the lap dogs of British is mute.

The Battle of Plassey | History Today

Even the uprising in 1857 had it's origin in Barrackpur and Barhampur, and then spread to Northern India, while South India remained non partisans in the uprising.

Rare 1857 reports on Bengal uprisings - The Times of India

And there was no king after the fall of Shiraj, only the princely state of Coochbehar, with limited power, put to power by the Brits. They doesn't represent the sentiments of the people.

Battle of Plassey was fight between Brits and Afghan Nawab . Nothing to do with Bengali's.

1857 rebellion - this is what wiki says about the rebellion.

The Indian Rebellion of 1857 began as a mutinyof sepoys of the East India Company's army on 10 May 1857, in the cantonment of the town ofMeerut, and soon escalated into other mutinies and civilian rebellions largely in the upper Gangetic plain and central India, with the major hostilities confined to present-day Uttar Pradesh,Bihar, northern Madhya Pradesh, and the Delhiregion.[3]

Other regions of Company-controlled India, such as Bengal, the Bombay Presidency, and theMadras Presidency, remained largely calm.

LOL. Yeah it was the Maharastrians who imposed partition on Bengal. The Bengali Muslim was full of love for the Bengali Hindu otherwise.

All of them fought to save their kingdoms. And your knowledge about 1857 mutiny is laughable, like all your other posts.

So say the Bengalis who functioned as eunachs in the dubar of the nawabs.

You know more about eunachs, you are still showing the qualities.

I am from Maharashtra, we did not have that phenomenon here. Bengalis did. Hence I see those qualities in Bengalis.

Your knowledge of history is the discredited version.

hough most history texts describe this revolt, which originated from Delhi, Meerut and Lucknow, as seeking to re-establish Moghul rule, there is more to the uprising. Revisiting the Sepoy Mutiny on its 150th anniversary in 2007, an officer of West Bengal State Archives, Ananda Bhattacharya, took up the task of unearthing forgotten pieces of history to explore the role of Bengal in the 1857 revolt.

The mutinies in Bengal have from the beginning drawn the sympathy of the country. The mutineers were joined and aided by the civil population. In some regions of Bengal, the rebellion took on the attributes of a patriotic revolt against the British Raj. As in the case of Mangal Pandey (Barrackpore revolt), sometimes the leaders became folk heroes in the nationalist movement.

Yes, the power hungry religious bigots were responsible for the partition, more of your kind. And there weresn't any discord between the hindus and muslims in Bengal prior to the partition.

The 1857 uprising was started by Mangal Pandey of Bengal Native Infantry in Barrackpore, WB.

Mangal Pandey - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Though some historians consider it as a mutiny over religious issues, and not exactly a freedom movement, However, before 1857 mutiny all the resistance against British were limited to kings trying to protect their kingdoms, 1857 mutiny was the first movement by ordinary soldiers. Later Govt. of India has recognized it as a freedom movement.

The real "Freedom Movement for India" by ordinary people started during the period of the Rise of Indian Nationalism, which is considered to be the period between 1885-1905. From that point ordinary people selflessly got involved in the movement to get freedom for their country India.

Mangal Pandey was a devout Hindu. Some one many would declare a chaddi or a Hindutva extremist today but in any case he was not a Bengali. Sorry I am not implying Bengalis didn't contribute to freedom movement but their involvement came only when the whole theater moved from battle field to the political circles.

Yeah yeah Marathas fought to save their kingdom that's why they reached till Afghanistan border fighting the Islamic forces. They along with Sikhs, Jats and Rajputs are the reason Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jainis were not forced converted. We would have turned into another converted Persia if there was no resistance from them so yes they are the reason for our freedom as well.

LOL. The Bengalis were anglophiles and working as minions of Brits when the the nationalists in Maharashtra rose up. It was Maharashtra that lit the fire of freedom in India under Lokmanya Tilak. Even before the Bengalis were decorating the Nawabs harems when Shivaji and Marathas brought to an end the Muslim rule in India. Slavery runs deep in Bengali blood. Very unlike Maharastrians.

Conscience of the nation? Much like pain in the ***. The nation rejected you guys and your ideology. WB is considered a bottleneck to India's emergence as a truly global power.
