She married modi when he was not even 18...........it was never consummated.Not modi's fault that she believes in not leaving him there and then,,none can blame her as she seems too traditional like majority of women in subcontinent are.

Probably the real reason PM Modi's wife doesnot live with him anymore, is that she realized Modi, cannot produce babies.

IF she had the dignity to keep quite and show some self respect people would have treated her with respect. Her current attics have raised question mark about her intentions. Still I agree with you that I shouldn't be too hard on an old woman.

Well, She's one woman with lots of spunk who had declined any security but later gave in.I'm surprised that she would file an RTI about the same.
And its good that she's being alert.

Lets stop reading too much between the lines.

I still find her actions and behaviour very strange. The SPG (as far as I'm aware the ones who are looking after her security) are pure professionals so citing the Indra Gandhi example as to why she is "scared" of her security is very very peculiar. And then i read somewhere she has said recently she wishes to go live with the PM in Delhi but they've been separated for decades so what exactly is her game?

Actually she hadn't been quit all along. Earlier she had tried this same thing when Modi became CM of Gujarat and she even gave an video interview in which she claimed that she is Modi's wife. That is how this whole thing came out.

When Modi came to know of this he cracked down on the News Media who was trying to pry into his private life (this was during the timie when there was a witch hunt going on against him post 2002) and then she got scared and decided to keep quite.

Now she is doing the same thing again when he's become the PM.

She is not quite the self sacrificing saint people make her out to be.

Now to the point, if she does not want security, let her give it in writing that she does not want it. Not go around claiming that she needs a car since her security guys have a car. If you cut through the BS, you will see that is the gist of her "enquiry".

From all I've read she has a 5-6 detail from the SPG.

Another thing I find strange is that she is saying that having them around is a "nuisance" but then she has the right to send them away and refuse security cover.
