Modi UK visit: Indian Prime Minister 'not welcome' as Awaaz projects warning onto Parliament

I don't buy it sir.

This is an entirely made up story that many media outlets have failed to scrutinise in the slightest before blindly reporting it as fact.

Hmmm.. Looks like it really did happen.. Seems like the Indian channel you mentioned is just on damage control in India

Fury as swastika projected on Houses of Parliament on Remembrance Sunday - Mirror Online

" A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said they were not investigating the stunt as a crime.

In a statement, they said: "Police were called at 21.02 hrs on Sunday, 8 November by a member of the public to reports that an image was being projected onto the Houses of Parliament.

"The caller reported that the image was being projected from a van parked on Westminster Bridge and was there for a few minutes before leaving the scene."

"Deputy Speaker Lindsay Hoyle replied: "On Remembrance Sunday there is no time when it is acceptable to project anything on to the House of Commons without permission, but to project a swastika on the visit of a state leader is totally unacceptable.

"The point has been made, and it will be taken on board and dealt with. I am absolutely convinced that the police will be looking into it as a matter of urgency."

.
Protestors set up a projection for 71/2 minutes before the police came and rounded them up.

They did not have any kind of official permission to do this.

Think about it logically, the story makes no sense at all.

a) A van can be parked on a bridge next to one of the most (supposedly) secure sites in the UK for 8 minuets and the police in the area and deployed to protect it do not notice it? An in fact the van projects a huge image onto said building and the police still don't notice?

b) You think it takes more than 8 minuets for the police to respond to such activity in the heart of London in a hugh security zone?

c) the police have actually denied such an incident happened and are not investigating it full stop- the article above is twisting the truth "not investigating the stunt as a crime." implies they are investigating it in some way- they are not.

d) where are the hundreds of picture and videos of passersby who would have seen this huge image? Not a SINGLE third party image has surfaced to date.

None of this story holds any water.

Nonsense mate. 7 1/2 minuets for the police to respond?? Please.

No one was "rounded up" as per the Met police no such incident took place and they aren't investigating it. If there was a "rounding up" they would have disclosed they had made arrests when nothing could be further from the truth.

Another "million man" march in the making.....

Freedom of expression.

Where is your news from?

Freedom of expression.
"Freedom of expression" does not extend to defacing public property. IF this had been carried out it would be a blatant crime.

Where is your news from?
Common sense/logic, a lack of any media attention whatsoever in the UK and personal experience having been around there in a car and on foot hundreds of times.

Well the whats logical to conclude is about half a dozen news outlets reporting it happened including British press and British members of the parliament actually condemning the act along with the Met police actually admitting they got complains from the public over the projection of the swastika on remembrance day (Not of Mr. Modi, The caller seem to have not known who he is anyway)

And you're denial without any credible counter source but one Indian report on alleged photoshopping the pic.. Well that logic is simple

.
Looks suspect.

@Bang Galore @Abingdonboy look at the corner of the building. The entire image actually is showed as projected including on another side of thr building but the projection looks like it is on a flat surface.

Photoshop. People are reacting and showing outrage because of swastika etc but people atleast this image is photoshopped, the 90 degree angle is missing.

.
Will Mody not go there ? It is about business. India has a very big market and has money. Cameron will come himself to escort Mody. Period.

Well the whats logical to conclude is about half a dozen news outlets reporting it happened
All of the "news outlets" are blogs reporting based on the original tweet- no credible news outlet is reporting on this- not a single one. As for the Metro and Mirror these are effectively blogs and I wouldn't trust them to inform me of anything. Again, they are basing all of their report on a single tweet.

And yet there are NO mainstream/major media outlets reporting this- where is the BBC? Guardian?Times? Sky news? Not even the Daily Mail has reported this!

Oh and how about the complete absence of any third party media? No images taken by passersby have emerged? Are we all really this stupid? This image could be projected onto one of the WORLD'S most iconic and scrutinised buildings for EIGHT MINUETS but there are ZERO third party images to show for it? Yeah okay.

Every single media outlet you are tripping is using the same image- the one provided by Awaaz network- the photoshop.

and British members of the parliament actually condemning the act
Again, they seem to be basing this on the tweet they saw- MPs can say anything they like in the Commons and often do without a shred of evidence.

along with the Met police actually admitting they got complains from the public over the projection of the swastika on remembrance day
They got a complaint-singular. Who knows the identity of this caller? It could have been the Awaz network themselves.

The fact remains that something of this scale would invoke scores of calls/complaints AND hundreds of third party pictures that not a SINGLE image/video taken from a different angle has emerged is more than sufficient proof this is a hoax.

And you're denial without any credible counter source but one Indian report on alleged photoshopping the pic.. Well that logic is simple
I don't need any sources, apply some common sense. If i told you the earth was flat and 100 blogs reiterated the same would you be forced to concede it?

I live in the UK, and even if I didn't I wouldn't need to be a rocket scientist to tell this was entirely fake news. If you think something of this scale can be conducted in such a manner with such little third party verification and or mainstream coverage in the UK you are the one whose logic needs to be tested. It's embarrassing some MPs have jumped on this bandwagon based purely on a tweet and to get some attention themselves but that is not at all surprising.
Well, it might be fake, not sure how it got on channels but then a lot of rubbish does, even if it did happen, it's not a big deal, our Pakistani friends are clutching at every comforting straw. It doesn't make a difference from the diplomatic angle.

It's fake, I'll bet my house on it. It is not even remotely plausible.
