You are actually winning arguments? How come I didn't notice? All you do is drivel and then I decide there is no point. Didn't realize that was 'winning' for you.
Guess this is one version of 'winning' for you.
Our job is not to 'guarantee' profits for large corporations. If one technology demolishes the other, you don't 'protect' corporations that have not adapted. Should we put shackles on the likes of Flipkart/ Amazon because Pantaloons makes losses? What a weird argument man.
The idea is to let Airtel charge it next time. Get it?
I remember you did start another lame thread on supposed scam by Ravi Shankar Prasad, and you chickened out of it after losing the argument.
What you are doing here again is nothing but false propaganda.
We the customers already pay the telcos/ISPs the internet charges, after that they cannot charge us more. Airtel tried to do it once, but they were asked to withdraw such charges.
Who told Amazon / Flipkart make any profit. According to latest survey, Flipkart loses 2.13 Rs for every 1 rupee they earn. The main main of Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal is to make people lazy, destroy brick and mortar stores and then change the game by starting pricing more. This game is well played by Wal Mart and Amazon.
But from thinking from the shoes of the Network operators owners, think like this, a monthly 3G pack of 225 to 250 rupees, hardly 3 .5$ and he/she can use internet to make calls, messages from Apps, bleeding the telecos. And the internet companies expect the telecos to build up towers , rural infrastructure for them and they wont pay any money or share their profits to tellecos.
This problem is faced by the US companies too. But they are not sure of what to do next.
So if my arguement does not hold any water, what alternatives u have?
Sheesh man you aren't getting the point. I wasn't talking about their profitability, maybe they're building up share to turn a profit later. Point I'm making is that if a new technology emerges that challenges the old one, the companies that have not adapted have to die. We do not have a responsibility to 'guarantee or ensure profits to them. Any organization trying to 'survive' through enforcing government legislation is doing harm to the economy. Much like India Telephones and their fixed lines. Private mobile operators brought in disruptive technology, destroyed fixed lines and made a killing. India Telephones was killed in the process because it did not adapt. Now the same private operators want to protect their investments against another disruptive tech. If they haven't adapted, then they should die. The consumer should not be asked to artificially prop up their profits.

We pay 225 for the internet charges, mobile tower infrastructure, rental, spectrum in it. Whom does the Whatsapp pay for using the network providers? For 225 in 3g one does not need to make a single call from the network operator.
Its time Apps started paying money or the Network providers start violating net neutrality for their profitability.
Oh please the total quantity of data is exploding. This really is creaming off the top. And their profitability is ultimately not our problem. That's not how business works, I know because in management of a major one.
The point u make is correct. But I find it amused. This problem is faced by network operators all over the world. I am not sure if u had read news on the World Mobile Congress where the owners of Mobile Networks attacked Zuckerberg over his speech on Internet to all. But blaming Modi or BJP for this have no point at all. Just cos TRAI becomes first in the world to review such things doesnt make India is doing a mistake.
For now, no alternatives technologies have arrived for the telecos to make a profit out of Apps. Lets wait and watch
There is a clear effort to use legislation to facilitate the requirements of the Telcos. As I have pointed out, TRAI is a puppet of the govt. You don't need to look far- during A Raja's tenure, there is no evidence of 'independent' regulator TRAI having done anything substantial to stop the 2 G scam. We don't need further evidence that it is a puppet. And these 'big' policy decisions are always hand in glove with PMO. That's the GOI angle. Else how do you think a paper so clearly supporting the provisions of the Telcom companies comes into play?
I hold MMS in high regard. So u r pointing out, by ur logic, Dr. MMS is responsible for 2G scam, by the same way TRAI, indirectly asked by BJP to start a consultation process?

I am still waiting for your reply to my very first post in this thread at page 2, instead of blabbering nonsense to avoid the falacy of your op, try to answer that.
Sure. You said that you pay extra for facebook, which is a lie.
There is no such idea, it is your another brainfart like your "Modi scandal video" that Congress was supposed to release before 2014 election.
He (MMS) did not take the money himself but both he and Chidambaram were aware of what was happening. The 'Coalition Dharma' philosophy (actually a word coined by ABVP), ministries were handed over to partners who ran it independently and milked it for power and money. The formula- Trinamool got Railway and DMK got Telecom. I don't think Trainamool used Railway as 'cash cow', but rather for populist schemes. DMK, on the other hand, used its ministry for both money and consolidating business interests of the Sun Group ( a major cash cow for the party). Two major incidents- 2G was rigged to corner money (most of it for the party actually), Aircel was wrested out of the Singapore businessman by using political influence and cornered by the SUn Group.
These things are actually very common for BJP too. They have put the entire Bellary region under the control of the Reddy brothers ( a big cash cow for BJP) and 1000s of illegal mining trucks keep pouring the ore from there. Modi has no intention of stopping that. That's why I would have preferred Parrikar to be PM if BJP came to power. He is a man of sterner convictions. He got all illegal mining in Goa shut down despite great threats to himself and his family.
I'm not interested in educating you. Won't bother to go back to Page 2. If it was something intelligent I would have remembered it. And yeah, there is a Scandal video out there. There is at least one IAS officer rotting in jail for that.
Doesnt really matter. How u put things down, by blaming BJP and Modi for TRAI's suggestions, PM MMS was responsible for the action of his ministers. Simple as that.
I am sorry, but your logic doesnt hold fort. I personally wont be ready to accept any blame for MMS. But by ur logic, MMS is responsible for 2G, and Modi is responsible for TRAI's mere request for suggestions.
U can be a congress or aap supporter. But we all would be better oblidged to hear ur concerns if the blame had a solid reason to make up with. In this case, the blame have zero credibility
