RG is the head of the relief operations
actually, there is nothing wrong in RG going to these places while at the same time denying the same possibilities to Modi. RG is the head (VP) of the organization that (Congress) is managing the relief. The CEO/ VP of a company shouldn't visit his own projects? He doesn't have to extend modi the same courtesy either- it is his job, not modi's to manage the activities. He can let others come in when he thinks it's more settled.

For me everything wrong with VIPs visiting that area.. This will always hinder relief work and man power has to alloted to them for security.. A senior IAS or IPS officer is way better than stupid politicians in handling relief efforts..
VIP or No- It's his JOB . That's why the party has been given mandate right?- to be in-charge of these things and do the needful when the time comes? Whether a senior IAS person is better or not, that too is his call to decide. He has the mandate. Said IAS officers, IAF etc. are accountable to him and his peers for the work that he has directed them to do. If the effort fails, it's his head on the line. Why would he not be personally involved?

Please do arp.. I would I like to hear your views too..
First of all, why the heck do a party select a person for disaster relief management?? Isnt it the job of the government?? I do not think Rahul Gandhi is capable enough to do the job... Its a shame that government waited 3 days to send relief so that he can come back from his vacation.. Utterly disgusting...
Oh yeah, how many helis do IAF have in working conditions and all weather?60+ only?Ahh well it's a logistical nightmare for me eh?Yeah...I'm sure that when the congress deployed well over 60 helicopters in the area fying day and night, the logistical nightmare of adding another 20 will be solved by the super duper brain of yours. I'm sure that the IAF which has dozens of helicopters at their disposal but didn't bring those in needed Modi to 'save' them. Modi's best helping hand would have been to ensure that as and when gujaratis were taken out, they were taken back home. He seems to have done only a decent enough job of it.
