it is a competition between two or three candidate of course, so it should not be handsome in general view, but more handsome than the others is enough.

Look at USA democrat party candidate, only better looking ones usually can pass the competition and become their candidate in US election. Even USA has elected a former movie star ( Ronald Reagan). Talking about good looking politician, USA also has Sarah Palin ( young, energetic, charismatic, good speaker, and relatively good looking), her previous present can boost Mc Cain candidacy, if only she is a little bit knowledgeable, the result could be different.
