Modi govt plans to act tough! No air tickets, hotel services for Kashmir separatist leaders soon

Srinagar: In a major development, the Modi government is readying to stop all the government facilities meted out to separatist leaders in Jammu and Kashmir.

A report published in Amar Ujala said the Centre plans to stop providing air tickets, hotel and taxi services to the separatist leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Farooq andYasin Malik during foreign tours.

The Bharatiya Janata Party-led regime has also asked J&K government-led by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to stop the same provided by the state government, the report stated.

Notably, around Rs 100 crores are spent annually on separatist leaders. While the Centre shares 90 percent of the burden, the state spends only 10 percent.

The decision to remove remove the security cover provided to the separatist leaders has to be taken by the state government. At present, 950 cops are on duty to guard the leaders.

For the last 55 days, life has remained totally paralysed in Kashmir due to curfew and protest shutdown called by the separatists, ever since Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani's encounter.

A total of 72 people -- 69 civilians and three policemen have killed and over 11,000 others injured in the Valley during this period.

The government is tightening its noose over Hurriyat hardliner Geelani.

Naeem Geelani, the elder son of Geelani, was recently summoned by National Investigating Agency (NIA) for recording his statement in connection with a Preliminary Enquiry (PE) registered by the probe agency.

The case pertains to a PE registered by the NIA to probe flow of funds into various bank accounts from overseas which in turn is allegedly being used for anti-national activities in the Valley.

However, NIA said the allegations levelled against the probe agency were totally baseless and that the agency was probing a legitimate case where funds were being received in the state and diverted towards terrorism and anti-national activities.

As Nd you believe it will dump the struggle seriously???
It will give more fire ...pls go ahead..modi is digging his own graveyard

. .
what where the previous govts thinking, feeding these snakes.
You have no idea, these are the royal kind who were provided with full security, accommodation , food, travel ..etc.
Mostly to keep tab on them but also to ensure if any idiot gets bumped off the blame does not fall on India.

Thank god, it finally dawned upon those in the government.
I really want to know who initiated this?
It is a two way affair like a petulant child which will create ruckus to get what it wants. These morons have some followers who will set the stage on fire so govts idea is to spend some moolah and keep them quite. There will also middle men who make some money out of it. So its a win win deal for every one.

Again If we want to go hard at them we need unofficial ppl on the ground who pulls the trigger. But given that we are all gandhis no one wants to do the dirty work. If you bump one of them other side will try to do the same ie tit for tat. So if you are willing to go all out then get ready for some damages as well. Remember ghani lone was killed for attempting to talk peace with India. These ppl are more afraid of ISI bcos they walk the talk unlike India. If India is serious they should hunt down every last one of them and show them who is in control. Devil gets the job done not the god.

All this while I thought we just covered their medical bills. Never knew we even paid for their toilet paper!

More than the Separatists, it's the fault of our successive governments which kept us under dark about how much money they wasted on these traitors!

From another post I made:

Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq, Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat (chairman) and Mr. Abdul Gani Lone
had been placed under the `Z' category while Syed Ali Geelani, Moulvi Abbas Ansari, Sheikh Abdul Aziz and Mr. Yasin Malik besides Mr. Fazl Haq Qureshi were in the `Y' category of security.

Hurriyat's Mirwiaz gets Z-plus security

Srinagar, August 26, 2015, DHNS:

The Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to enhance the security of moderate Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq following “increased threat perception”.

Sources said security wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police has issued an order in this regard. “The PDP-BJP government has decided that Z-category security status of Mirwiaz would be enhanced to Z-plus level in the wake of the increasing threat perception on his life,” they said and added a group of ministers from the PDP, enjoying good relation with the separatist leader, have convinced their counterparts from the BJP in this regard.

Mirwaiz is not the only leader outside the mainstream who has the elaborate security.Apart from Mirwaiz, other leaders of moderate Hurriyat who enjoy security provided by the Centre include Abdul Gani Bhat, Abbas Ansari, Bilal Lone, Fazal Haq Qureshi and Shahid-ul-Islam........

On Geelani...:
"The curious fact is that the man who wants to destroy India's unity, who hates the idea of a secular India, should get, then accept, financial aid from the governments of Delhi and Srinagar. There are whispers of cash being passed from intelligence secret funds. But what cannot be denied is that his surgeries have been paid for by the government, and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed even sent a special plane to pick him up from Ranchi jail where he was then lodged.

His pacemaker was replaced at Escorts Hospital, his gall bladder was removed at Gangaram Hospital, two cataract operations were conducted at Apollo Hospital, and even his teeth have been overhauled at Batra Hospital-all in the Capital. His surgeries at the Tata Memorial Hospital have been so successful that the portion of the right kidney which remained has now regrown to do the work of two. His large and comfortable three-storey home in Srinagar's Hyderpora is, however, provided by the Jamaat-e-Islami. He also maintains an independent home in Delhi's Malviya Nagar where he stays for the three months of Kashmir's winter....."

It was there that he suffered a heart attack. His daughter who was attending to him drove him to Max Hospital which is the closet to his residence. He was shifted to the ICU.

A spokesperson for Max Hospital confirmed Geelani was admitted in the hospital and that he was under constant monitoring of a multi-speciality team.
