Hi all.
I was doing some research to find what kind of ammunition loadouts have the numerous T-72/80/90s exported by Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in recent times, in particular referring to APFSDS rounds.
What i have found is that probably the most exported round is the 3BM42 Mango, not a really modern round which is also used in the Indian T-90 fleet.
Howewer i found that the famous T-72 load hijacked from the MV Faina not so long ago was reportedly armed with DU based 3BM32 rounds.
My questions are:
1) is the 3BM42 the 'standard' 125mm export round since the fall of the URSS?
2) has also the 3BM32 DU round been largely exported? to which country?
3) have the russians recently started exporting more advanced rounds like the 3BM42M?
I was also expecially interested in finding what ammunition could carry the T-80BVs that where recently bought by Yemen from Belarus; i need it for making an OOB in a Steel Panthers game but i know it could be a difficult information to find
Thanks, Edox.
