Mistakes of PTI

salaried class or proper companies pay some taxes because they are registered or forced to do so. there are thousands of barbers, tuition centers, parlors, restaurants, butchers and what not who do not pay any taxes.
Most of Pakistan's economy is informal - a fact that ca easily be seen in any district in Pakistan. When you go how about your day and you see the local economy which employs the vast number of Pakistani's, people like shop keepers, butchers, traders, etc etc how many are registered and pay taxes? None.

Yet they all expect use of roads, police, schools and other government services. All will bemoan the lack of government service or poor service delivery yet non are paying taxes. Even more pathetic they will want Pakistan to fight India or send armies to help the ummah. Not one explaining where the money will come for this.

A state is only as good as the number of hours it's citizens work, the quality of that work and what share of that productivity they end up giving to the state.

If citizens work hard, the quality or quantity of that productivity is very high and they all give certain % to the state - that country will resemble USA, Germany or Japan.

In Pakistan clearly non of that applies.
this is was maybe one of the biggest failures of PTI govt, not because it didnt want to collect taxes, but because they didnt show the muscle and will needed to strong arm the mafia within FBR.
I disagree. Muscle of any government is directly related to mandate a government has. If your government stands on a unstable, cobbled structure and even then your majority is wafer thin you will never be able to carry out major reforms because the inevitable backlash will bring you crashing down.

If you look at one of the major weakness in PTI goverenment that will probably bring it down it is the Tareen group. The seeds of this were laid in the sugar scandal. If IK hade gone easy on Tareen you would still have had Tareen on IK's side and the bunch of turncoats that now threaten the government would not exist or if they did they would be in smaller numbers.

I do however think that IK made a catastrophic choice in choosing Buzdar. I still for life of me can't understand why he is prepared to lose everything for a nobody, a mediocre nobody who has failed to give a alternative to the existing dynastic houses in Punjab.

The biggest mistake of PTI was to give preference to lotas over PTI own people.

Yes. That is the case. This mantra of "on the same page" was false, for quite some time.

I think your giving the establishment too much by way of the influence they have. If that was true Musharaf would still be in power.

There are countries with establishments that have such a overwhelming shadow that they can ensure one leader can stay in power for decades such as Turkey, Russia, China, Syria but certainly not Pakistan.

Yes the establishment has some influence but it only goes so far. With the opposition now ganged up even if Bajwa was the PM he could not be saved by the army.

Big mistake to trust and relied on Pindi... 1st given extension unforgivable mistake paying the price now.
he didn't stop there give up on the issue of abpara head appointment, which is biting him now.
2ndly foreign policy line where the great Pindi boys got a Golden chance more dollars he refused and ruined it. As the last few years were very dry since he took office all hell broken and aids funds support dollars were all blocked.
The unforgivable mistakes he must be thrown out of the power.
