Most of Pakistan's economy is informal - a fact that ca easily be seen in any district in Pakistan. When you go how about your day and you see the local economy which employs the vast number of Pakistani's, people like shop keepers, butchers, traders, etc etc how many are registered and pay taxes? None.salaried class or proper companies pay some taxes because they are registered or forced to do so. there are thousands of barbers, tuition centers, parlors, restaurants, butchers and what not who do not pay any taxes.
I disagree. Muscle of any government is directly related to mandate a government has. If your government stands on a unstable, cobbled structure and even then your majority is wafer thin you will never be able to carry out major reforms because the inevitable backlash will bring you crashing down.this is was maybe one of the biggest failures of PTI govt, not because it didnt want to collect taxes, but because they didnt show the muscle and will needed to strong arm the mafia within FBR.
All this circus is running by bajwa bcz of up coming COAS and drama by ispr at time of isi chief appointment….
I think your giving the establishment too much by way of the influence they have. If that was true Musharaf would still be in power. All this circus is running by bajwa bcz of up coming COAS and drama by ispr at time of isi chief appointment….
Mushraff was not acceptable at that time by establishment, one thing is sure all good n bad in Pakistan is bcz of our establishment.they give share to parties in election just like slicing of cake,I think your giving the establishment too much by way of the influence they have. If that was true Musharaf would still be in power.
There are countries with establishments that have such a overwhelming shadow that they can ensure one leader can stay in power for decades such as Turkey, Russia, China, Syria but certainly not Pakistan.
Yes the establishment has some influence but it only goes so far. With the opposition now ganged up even if Bajwa was the PM he could not be saved by the army.
