A regular dead beat gets 20-22+ K starting.. a soldier gets 4-5 at starting... a soldier get to see him family after months .. a cop doesnt even do his duty properly.. a soldier fights on the border,helps in floods,builds roads bridges etc ... a cops opens the prison doors for taliban...and runs away...

Dude you should do a bit of research before telling such ridiculous figures. Half of my family is serving in armed forces and there is no such thing a low pay and low benefits for them.

Then you really need to do your research .. a Soldier's salary is less then your Police Constable's salary .

I don't think regular soldiers are entitled to get to get plots. My cousin got one but he is a Lieutenant Colonel. See when was the last time you heard about police officers getting plots as only way they get them is by ripping off ordinary people.

Now go ask him if he got it for free .. and dnt be surprised he he doesnt reply "pleasantly" .. coz he didnt.. he will have to pay for the 10 marla plot in some far off undeveloped askari scheme..

He got it after 25 years of raghra...and he had to pay for it the moment he left PMA, and chances are he got a flat because allotments of plots have been finished because there is no land left, and if he was a lucky guy and got a plot, it would have been in a far off Askari scheme across ring road lahore.

It ain't all that rosy. Oh, and also do go and see the size of that plot...or rather i should say, house.

Why didnt the armed forces or police resisted .. thousands of questions and assumptions emerge !!


does the army wanted PTI govt to learn this is the type of people you wish to negotiate with ?

does the army still sympathise with these talibani agents ? if so the police could have retaliated ? who do the police take order from interior ministry or army ? Why they didnt fire back?

was army's decision politically motivated since resistance could have resulted in lot of blood shed and they were worried PTI govt will use it for their political gains and symphaties

does the army have no jurisdiction over such incidents and they cannot intervene in such situation?

does it reflect the poor state of civil mitary relations ?
