Kuwaiti military is going through a modernization process by replacing their F-18 Hornet with F-18 Super Hornet, or Euro-fighter, or Rafal, M-84 with Abrams M1A2, enhancing and modernizing their air defense systems by upgrading Patriot Pac-2 into Pac-3 as well as getting new naval vessels. Not to forget training, staging regular drills and other logistical requirements for a capable army.

So far No Replacement took place, They intend to procure F-18SH as addition not replacement but so far no progress.

Nov 8/11: The US DSCA announces Kuwait’s request to buy continuing Contractor Engineering & Maintenance Services, Hush House Maintenance Support services, Liaison Office Support Services, and related US government and contract support for their F/A-18C/D Hornets. The estimated cost is $100 million.

The principal contractors will be Boeing in St. Louis, MO; Kay and Associates in Buffalo Grove, IL; Industrial Acoustics Company in Winchester, UK; and General Dynamics in Fairfax, VA.
