Honestly posting such videos is in poor taste. I have seen Baloch nationalists posting the same of our FC troops and then in a sick manner celebrating (or the ones posted by the TTP media cell of our troops and civilians being beheaded). It hurts one quite a bit to see one of your very own going down so lets not rub salt on already festering wounds here. I think perhaps I am getting too old for this hyper-coverage via macabre videos of death and destruction.

At the end of the day, each and every man in uniform is doing what he has been tasked to do, nobody has asked him for his opinion about the right or the wrong of it. So the ones dying in uniform deserve the dignity (instead of being subjected to these video analysis) they have earned by giving their lives for orders given to them by others. They answered the calling and made the ultimate sacrifice. I say this first and foremost given my own association with the men in uniform on our side but I do not think the feelings of the other side about their own soldiers is any different.

In the past few months, a lot of good men have made the ultimate sacrifice and this can go on and on. The lesson should be on how best to avoid such losses of extremely selfless and fine men in the future and at a minimum, not denigrating them by posting such content regardless of anger and other nationalistic vitriol.

I agree and appreciate the sentiments. However, the video posted by the op is from Turkey and shows a Turkish Army convoy being ambushed by PKK fighters.
