But the recommendation itself sounds illogical in the context of India.if mr. ganguly is recommending something to syria, i too was recommending something for india... what's wrong in that??

won't you say that is bureaucratic inefficiency?? in india in the 80's and 90's, anyone wanting a telephone ( landline ) would been put in a long long waiting list.
but he did not form a new bloc like tito did with yugoslavia and "non aligned movement"...
your view is generally shared by the writer of that article, who seems a westerner... would be interesting to read the memoirs of a key member of the romanian communist party.
maybe he didn't want to get western companies to over-run romania... there must be valid reasons for his declining of their offers.
surely, those two are not true... you would have been too young in the 80's to remember this ( if your birth year is 1984 ).
Those Christians are Arabs too and stop trying to derail the topic by bringing Israel into everything you post. There is a world outside Israel. In fact it's politically acceptable to blame Israel not the other way around. In the last summer, thousands of Yazidis were murdered and taken into sex slavery and yet all we heard in media was the outrage against Israel when they took actions against Gaza. I never see anyone speaking a word against Islamists and if anyone does he/she would be branded as racist/islamophobic. Besides those who are responsible for these crimes are consisted of many ethnic groups, not just Arabs and it's their ideology that unites them.Christians got mostly evicted from Bethlehem, but one must not mention Israel's crimes.
Better to rant against Arabs. It's politically acceptable, unlike the other semites...
Are you sure they being ethnically cleansed or are they just fleeing like the millions of other Syrians because of the civil war? I’m guessing the millions of Sunni Syrians are being ethnically cleansed as well. This is ethnic cleansing, but no one cares..

Oh shut up will you?, US pressured Turkey to train FSA because it didnt wanted to join Coalition, US is going to train rebells in Turkey, the whole idea isnt Turkish but American, do you think its that easy to get rid of responsibilities?I'm not saying the US shares no blame but the real culprits are Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar. The US is quite reluctant to get involved and these countries keep pushing them.
Yes,they are being ethnically cleansed. There are several reports on that.
Our Arab Christian brethren have not been targeted more than Arab Muslims or Atheists at all. It's just that Arab Christians are the minority so whenever their community is engulfed in conflicts this can be felt clearly.
FSA are not against Christians and there are Christian brigades and units within the FSA. They are against the Christians who support Al-Assad and who commit genocide against them and their cities. Just like they are against the Syrian Muslims who support Al-Assad and commit such crimes on them and their families.
Daesh is not part of the Syrian opposition but just part of a demonic bloc in the conflict that is hellbent on destroying everything but themselves.
Arab Muslims are the biggest victims in both Syria and Iraq by far. Anyway this is not a competition. It's sad what has been happening with our Christian brethren for the past 10 years but a lot of the fault lies in the failed policy of the West in the Arab world.
Invasion of Iraq, looking silently at Al-Assad committing genocide in Syria etc. All which have given rise to fundamentalists in the region.
So it's pathetic to see a Brit of all people playing the blame game and putting the entire responsibility on regional powers. Laughable in fact.
Also a Christian life is not more valuable than that of a Muslim, Atheist or whatever in the region.
Turkey and Qatar are where the FSA is based and where it draws most of its money. It would collapse tomorrow without these two countries.Oh shut up will you?, US pressured Turkey to train FSA because it didnt wanted to join Coalition, US is going to train rebells in Turkey, the whole idea isnt Turkish but American, do you think its that easy to get rid of responsibilities?
So overthrowing Saddam is bad but overthrowing Assad would have been good? The two are not that different except in one thing:their religion. It looks to me that that is the main thing Gulf States and Turkey care about and this is why the Western public wants nothing to do with the so called "moderate" rebels.Invasion of Iraq, looking silently at Al-Assad committing genocide in Syria etc. All which have given rise to fundamentalists in the region.

FSA got more support be it financial or weapons from west than anywhere else, west is supporting FSA from the first minute of civil war.Turkey and Qatar are where the FSA is based and where it draws most of its money. It would collapse tomorrow without these two countries.
Britain has given them fifteen million. FIFTEEN MILLION! You think this is substantial?FSA got more support be it financial or wepons from west than anywhere else, west is supporting FSA from the first minute of civil war.
Its just Britain, how much gave USA alone?Britain has given them fifteen million. FIFTEEN MILLION! You think this is substantial?
