PAF has no need for J-10 now since MMRCA will not be a reality any time soon. PAF is using all its resources on thunder program which is a wise thing to do. As far as Block 2 is concerned its in production phase and there is a possibility that we might see the first 5 block 2 planes we have been hearing about.

yes such class of helicopters come with chaffs and flares system and also mask the engine heat etc.
the other protection is hide and cover, surprise attack and leave the area and pick off such threats from miles before they pick the helicopters
