Met a CF-18 the other day.

So it was a normal day when this guy showed up out of nowhere. He did a fast low pass, then a slow gear check, then a touch and go and then finally landed, all in very tight go arounds. Luckily he was in the mood to show off. Unluckily I couldn't make a video of it as I was driving. By the time I reached there and got cleared to go to the apron the pilot had already left, so couldn't take any pictures from inside the cockpit. Found a refueller though, who had enough clearance to open the fuel hatch.....haha...anyway, thought you guys might enjoy them. I'm sure you won't need any explanations as to what you're seeing in the pictures.....unlike that refueller. Nice guy.

Finally got cleared,

As I'm sure you guys know, the thing on the outer most pylon is a cargo pod. It was entertaining to see the pilot wrestle his duffel bag out of it while the ground crew thought it was a bomb.

f18 is indeed a fab aircraft. IF ever you folks get a chance to see a demo, high advised. The high AOA of this aircraft is amazing.
