When I was in 20s, I am naive. I hope China embrace the openness of world internet platform, such as facebook, twitter, google, and so on.

Later, I realized it's stupid and suicidal for China.

Now China has biggest IT companies, most advanced IT technologies among the world.

On the other hand, India and EU has none, completely conquered by US giants.

The US has more leverage on politics, media than India/EU themselves on their own domestic market.

India was conquered, not a big deal, India was nobody as always. While the EU failed to do anything on internet, suicidal and stupid.

The US is now openly being ruled by the oligarchy instead of by the government because now Jeff Bezos and his Billionaire friends has openly come out to declare they have far much more influence on the US than the US government itself and the government is helpless and cannot resist those oligarchs even when the president gets slapped over and over again by those oligarchs.

And this is the major difference between censorship in China and censorship in America, in China you get censored when the government thinks you should be censored and then billionaire owners of social media act accordingly and censor you, in other words the government has higher authority than the billionaires.
while in America its the other way around, the unelected oligarchs like Jeff Bezos are the ones who rule over the government. The fake democracy in the US has been exposed, what is the use of electing politicians if those politicians are being ruled in turn by unelected oligarchs!

Nope. China is free to do what it pleases, just don't lecture the world about freedom of speech, which is the hypocrisy Merkel is exhibiting here. That's my point, nothing to do with China or any other cross references.
