well previous (misguided) leaders of Afghanistan have brought nothing but embarrassment and damage to Afghan interests every time they made ruckus over non-issues like Durand Line -internationally and locally recognized as the border as far as we are concerned
nobody is retreating from nowhere buddy

So, what do you suggest, as per my own observation, Afghans seems very hostile to Pakistan and see their Afghan identity much more authentic than that of Pakistan.

Pak-Afghan border should be sealed off completely. We have suffered a lot because of this. There is no point of merging with Afghanistan at all especially in U.S presence.

I am not going to divide anyone because I have no authority over anybody. Its my personal opinion.

Secondly, Preventing terrorists & drugs from entering in Pakistan is more important than breaking up family ties. Anybody in Afghanistan with proper identification should be allowed to come to Pakistan to visit their family members. But no more CIA/RAW backed terrorists should be allowed now.

Pashtuns revolted against durand line only once, in 1879 ,in which British had to mobilize 110,000 troops to suppress the rebellion in NWFP and tribal areas. After that, common tribesmen got used to the division and after 117 years, they wont object over sealing of border. Pak-afghan border was also sealed in 1961 and it had devestating effect on economy of Afghanistan. As compensation, Afghanistan got closer to russia for trade and basic items. This proved disastrous for Afghanistan in 1977. So a single case of sealing of durand by pakistan led to the ultimate destruction of afghanistan and 4 decades long war.
