Merging Afghanistan With Pakistan

With all due respect to Afghanis, my Pakistan is fine the way it is, although internal problems remain. I'd rather Pakistan be invaded and colonized by aliens than merge with Afghanistan as a state. Even opening the borders to you folks for humanitarian reasons was a mistake.

Iskandar Mirza as President had advanced quite a bit in forging closer ties with Afghanistan leading to an eventual merger. But powers that be do not like that because a nation astride the Hindukush forging into the Indus valley would be a major power. SA Muslims would feel much relieved. India on the other hand would seethe ghost of Ahmad Shah Baba emerging.

Pakistan would have better relation with Afghanistan if Pakistan had retreated from Durand Line to Indus river, that's how an average Afghan thought.

We are 2 seperate countries and the borders are non-negotiable. They will remain as they are......as it is the border is porous and you have thousands of people from Afghanistan crossing into Pakistan and kind of vice-versa. Its always been poor marcated.

however -- officially speaking Pakistan will always be Pakistan, Afghanistan will always be Afghanistan. We have a direct stake in seeing to it that Afghan institutions are build up and the country becomes ONE stronger nation rather than war-lord-led fragmented nations

Merging with Afghanistan would make Pakistan more unstable, more vulnerable and also more chaos in the street of Pakistan. So better option is to leave Afghanistan on their fate and concentrate on our mess.

u cannot throw them out,,anyway with a porous border it wud be redundant.with all the pashto bhaichara, ultimately they will get citizenship,,,that's when the real fun starts
those 16 millions(+increasing) are gonna make a political party of there own,,,,may be not now, a decade later,,but u can bet on that...
once they have the political clout,u can only imagine.

No, let me tell you the harsh reality. Pakistan will deport them back with every intention of Afghanistan not being able to handle them. Like I mentioned before the collapse and absorption of Afghanistan in its entirety is inevitable.
