Meet Wang Yaping, the first female astronaut to visit China's Tiangong Space Station
Wang Yaping, the second female astronaut from China, is likely to join Zhai Zhigang and Ye Guangfu as the Shenzhou-13 crew, which is scheduled to launch on October 16. She would be the first female astronaut to visit the Tianhe Core Module of Chinese Space Station. Wang has flown Shenzhou-10 in 2013. The highlight of that mission was Wang, as the lecturer, with assists from Nie Haisheng and Zhang Xiaoguang, taught a science session from space for the first time. Wang has kept training and is ready for another flight.
