No. An Indian is not necessarily a Hindu and a Hindu is not necessarily an Indian. Religion is a theological approach, while nationality is a political approach.
A Hindu could be Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, American, Australian, British or whatever. An Indian is a person who owes his or her 100% allegiance to India and holds an Indian passport.
