You are absolutely correct. Iran should stick with the development of subsystems as well as a reliable high thrust turbofan. That is sound from engineering principals and project management. I also prefer to build on top of Saeghe. The platform has lots of potentials especially with more powerful engines, larger chassis, wingspan and state of the art sensor suites and avionics. However, it would take probably another 10 years and by then we would be facing more generation 5 fighters in the region. (im referring to their advanced sensor fusion, A2A stealth and electronic warfare capabilities)

Perhaps the best approach is a parallel approach. Development of engine and subsystems on current fleet while testing and experimenting with 5th Gen design methodology. Either way, we need to get there and why not allocate the full development and mass production of Saeghe Gen 4.5 to development of Gen 5 subsystems. There we could find a balance between development of upgrade packages for current fleets and/or Saeghe and development of Gen 5 fighter (be it Qaher, a generic name for Iran's ATF). I am also concerned that if lessons and experiences are gained from early days of M-ATF and Saeghe (at w/e stage it is now), we shouldn't put it to waste nor should we put those experiences and lessons learned from Saeghe.

after that try to replace it with another one which has a cloaking technology cause having law RCS wont help you in the strait of Hormuz or against our stealth drones and Persian gulf Ballistic missiles with electro-optical seeker.

Stealth tech with advance decoys and jamming will take your Air Force down as well as sam system. Not to mention destruction and jamming radars that you cannot find the ships from distance. Not to mention aircraft especially awacs that can detect stealth drones. F35 can do that especially as well.

Bad news for Pakistan. Ironically Iran and Afghanistan are bigger threat for pakistan's security than India.
