The A350 had one of its first demonstration flights with passengers. Most of them were journalists and they are excited about our new airplane. Many say they love the space they have as well as the brandnew interior lighting system, which changes constantly. When it enters the market this year it will be the most advanced airplane in the sky. But wtch for yourself: (P.s.: please note that this is a test plane and so it is full of sensors and equipment you normally don´t find in an airplane.)
Our test plane MSN002 ready for take off
You may see that the board entertainment screens are much bigger than in any other airplane.
Some of the sensors. They check the air conditioning
A Rafale followed our A350
Some of our engineers supervice the data on board during the flight
The galley
The joy of flying in a test plane
The sensors also meassure in the business class
The two special designed RR-XWB engines are the most efficient and silent engines on any airplane right now:
After the test flight:
Qatar Airways is our launch customer and ordered 80 machines of this type. They will go into service at end of 2014 and so far evrything goes fine. The current model, which will enter as first version of the A350 family has room for 314 passengers. A smaller and a bigger version will follow later.
We already have over 740 orders and chances are high that some of you will fly in one in the next years.
