The reality is that many futuristic weapons that are being developed makes it to games and movies before they actually come out. Sometimes they use it to get some public feedback thru forums and reviews but most of the time is has to do with making stuff that are closely aligned to reality as much as possible. Weapons like lasers, microwave directed weapons, etc were all used in movies and games as futuristic weapons even such tech wasn't out yet, well at least publicly. The Stealth Heli has been around for 10 yrs or more, just shows the world that America knows how to keep a good thing a secret. I have heard things here and there, but nothing concrete. Hollywood has actually depicted such a Heli in A Will Smith movie. Goes to show the nexus between movies and real life. Directors want their movies to be realistic as possible, and even if the movie takes place in the future, a lot of research is done to portray a vision of where tech may lead us.

I think India should stop dreaming about having the capability of the US. It need to first take care of its poor and improve the malnutrition first before worrying about matching US on everything.

Many, but not all, Indians has the lowest self esteem of all nationalities here. That is why you see many articles about whether India can do surgical strikes like how US did. No other nations in this forum is comparing themselves to the US except India when OBL was taken out. That is a sure sign of low self esteem.

Ask any Indian if they think India is comparable, close to America in any field. Most will give a replay India isn't comparable to America in any field(space to military). Some are nationalistic and like to chest bump over the internet, many people do that.

I comment here because Marcos is mentioned because of Osama raid. Its part of the chest thumping, self gratifying strokes that many Indians need to do because US was able to send a couple of helicopter deep into Pakistan, kill Bin Laden and leave with his body. All India could do after the terrorist attacked Bombay was to complain and make some noise. And Pakistan still host the attackers and allow them to live there openly. So its understandable that some Indians nationalist need to dream big as reality is a unbearable to them. So many come here and stroke each others egos to make them feel better. A type of addiction, if you ask me. May needs psychological help.
