It would be nice if I could read your response in continuity instead of cut and paste. There is a lack of rhythm and loss of direction.
I donot write to please or disrespect others---but sometimes in the heat of the discussion we can get carried away but not to disrespect you but to get your attention and reaction to have you look at things a little different---( now where does this technique comes from---it comes from car and home sales training here in the U S---why---just to wake up and get the attention of the customer who has made a ridiculous offer----it is like waking up somebody and telling them---you are being unrealistic---now it works in a community which understands this technique----and error of the judgement is on my part at times of using this technique on my pakistani brethren at times knowing very well that they will go into their defensive modes and stop listening to what I am saying because they think what I am saying might somehow create issues difficult to handle---I will tell you---mine did shatter when I read the history of the sub-continent and defeat of the empire from a millitary point of view---the information was totally differnt than what we know and what we were taught at home, school and college. Over the years I have learnt to read the history of the people who defeated us and find out how they defeated us----because if I don't know how they defeated us, then how am I going to make the change to put myself in a better position for the next time. It is standard policy of the nations to learn from their defeats---it is also a standard poicy of the victorious nations to brag and tell you how they defeated us---you just have to listen without closing your mind----because mind is like a parachute---it does not work if you don't open it ( God bless Bob Woolmer )---has nobody on this board lost a match and been ridiculed by the winner how they made you lose---now would you use the same losing strategy with that winner the next time you compete or come up with something else. If you come up with something else to counter then you have opened your mind and learnt something new. You are a winner now even if you lose again. You are a winner as long as you keep trying different ways to over come the shortcomings.
The mughal empire lacked this ability.
Those who critiscize me about the british victory---need to read millitary comabt history written by the foreigners---the actual flesh and blood and gore type of combat---the strategy the gamesmanship the superior use of weaponery troop movement positioning and manovuvering the deceit and deception the use of spies and traitors of buying and selling loyalties and last but not the least the committment and dedication to the employer.
I write what I have read and researched and experienced about the rise and downfalls of different civilizations and specially the muslim empire in different worlds. But that is not all---I try to read and learn about issues without prejudice to the race culture and to my belief Islam---but then I am just a person and not a perfection. I have been writing for about 25 years now and it is not to please our friend Salim over here, but it does feel good at times to know that somebody else is listening as well.
Tell me something how often a person would write knowing that he maybe ridiculed by many all the time. Not many of us do that unless they have a belief and conviction that they can make the differnce and they overlook all the critiscism and insults and move ahead---it does not say that we succeed all the time---but if I got your attention and made you think that there might be another way to handle issues, then I have done my job and I leave it to your better judgment now to carry in onwards.
Now, if the pakistanis were not as concerned about the NGO's and would have hanged the gang rapists---I will guarantee you that in the united states of america, they would have the support of 70 % plus americans---even though there are lots of rapes in america---the pnishment is also very severe---at times it is life term in prison for violent crimes---it is one of the most hated crimes in america---Pakistan needs to do something to rpovide justice to the weak---otherwise the right wingers would take over---because they start with providing instant justice----they may take all your civil liberties later---that is how they get in your mind at first---and that is a very dangerous situation.
