Thousands of protesters and dozens of civil rights lawyers from ACLU and CAIR flocked to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to free Muslim travelers detained by the US Customs and Immigration Service after President Donald Trump's Muslim Ban executive order over the weekend.


Anti-Ban Protest at San Francisco International Airport

While the scene with anti-ban protesters and civil rights lawyers was repeated at all major international airports across the United States, what was special about San Francisco was the presence of Silicon Valley tech elite, including Google cofounder Sergey Brin and Y Combinator president Sam Altman, among the protesters. The Who's Who of America's technology world work with tens of thousands of Muslim technologists everyday. They have all spoken out against Trump's Muslim ban. Meanwhile, several Silicon Valley venture capitalists have committed to match donations to American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the biggest organization of civil rights lawyers in the United States. ACLU says it has already raised over $10 million so far to fight Trump's Muslim Ban in the US Court system.

Silicon Valley companies rely on technology talent from many Muslim nations around the world. They also do significant business in the Islamic world. It is in Silicon Valley's best self-interest for the United States to have friendly ties with world's 1.5 billion Muslims. Among the most famous sons of Muslim immigrants was the legendary Apple founder Steve Jobs.

The US-born Muslims make up the largest percentage at 34% of all Muslims in San Francisco Bay Area, followed by 14% born in Pakistan, 11% in Afghanistan, 10% in India, 3% in Egypt and 2% each in Iran, Jordan, Palestine and Yemen.

There are 35,000 Pakistani-born Muslims in San Francisco Bay Area, or 14% of the 250,000 Muslims who call the Bay Area home, according to the study. Bay Area Muslim community constitutes 3.5 percent of the area’s total population and is one of the highest concentrations of Muslims in the country.

They all know how critical the Muslim immigrant talent is to the success of their companies.

Not true. Polls employs plenty of experts, from mathematicians to social scientists to even opinionators.

I do not like Trump. I think he is the bottom of the American electoral barrel, but the election of Trump means the alternative (Hillary Clinton) in the same barrel was regarded by the American public to be even worse. You have to look at the electorate as a whole organism, not discrete political partisan parts, even if the winner won by a 1% margin.

Arguing/criticizing that Trump lost the popular vote is misleading because the American electoral system was NOT designed around the popular vote but the electoral college. Trump did not cheat. He won under the rules that was created and lasted for over two hundred yrs. Criticizing the electoral college is also misleading precisely because the system lasted for over two hundred yrs with plenty of debates about it that got nowhere. The American public, as an organism, chose this system.

The group that is most hurt in terms of image, professional and personal, in the Trump victory is the opinionators, not the hardcore technicians such as mathematicians and poll takers. From now on, I would not cite liberal minded opinionators like John Oliver, Rachel Maddow, Trevor Noah, or the women of The View on anything political on Trump and his administration, and I mean ANYTHING. Yes, it is that blanket. ANYTHING.

Why ? Because of the US being what we are: The world's most powerful country.

We influence, directly and indirectly, so many aspects of global affairs that no one, no matter how smart, can adequately quantify our effects. As such, people, inside and outside the US, will attempt anyway, and the result is that the US President, and its electoral process, became the most scrutinized objects in the world by anyone interested in global affairs.

The liberals in America, from politicians to media personalities to ordinary people, were wrong about Trump. Under that main misconception about Trump lies many more lesser misconceptions, ranging from social issues to voter psychology to demographics, about the American public. They were wrong about Trump because they were wrong about these lesser issues.

That is good and in Sha Allah we will convert these people to Islam. The hipster types are the most open to conversion. I have personally shown many of them the way of the Salaf here in the UK. They are firm believers of Shariati Nizam and are perhaps more zealous than our born Muslims brothers Masha Allah. We have already pushed for the legalization of Shariah councils here in the UK and have achieved success Alhamdulillah. I pray that Allah makes it easy for our Ummah in America to push for Nizam-e-Shariah in America as well.

All of these ideologies are man made, including Liberalism. They don't give internal peace which is why Islam is spreading and the Liberal countries are dying , particularly from a demographic standpoint. Liberalism is a disease. Trump is reacting harshly against Muslims because he's trying to delay the inevitable in a last ditch attempt to save Liberalism. But Allah (swta) has already decreed that Islam will triumph over all religions and ideologies and we are seeing this happen before our very eyes that Allah's decree is fulfilling itself. Muslims in America and Europe are standing up for the light of Islam.

In the end Trump will lose and the moral decadence of Liberalism will die with it's already dwindling support base In Sha Allah.
