Mashiur against fees for transit

One Question..India is reciprocating this gesture by giving Bangladesh transit facilities to Nepal and Bhutan..so how much are Bangladeshis willing to pay for that?

Are you a real brainless stupid? Why do you put an argument that is irrelevant? Since when Nepal and Bhutan have become a part of Bangladesh. It is not what India is getting by going through our territory. India is going to its own land through BD.

.
I think it would rather fairer if we provided you free transit to Bhutan and Nepal and you provide us free transit to North east India..because it is barter deal..

We do not need to go to a small Nepal. Rather, Nepal needs us. So, talk to Nepal, it is an independent country and not a part of BD.

'small' Nepal needs Bangladesh ! miser India needs Bagladesh ! Talk about being the center of the world

btw look at the map Bangladesh does not share borders with Nepal and Bhutan

Proud then why India provided you with aid back in 2007 when the cyclone hit you? why you take loans from India? you remain a nation of beggers and will continue with your proud begging

You guys are really Godless creatures, you boast for doing something that you did not do. All your deeds are only on paper. On the other hand, we have just sent some relief goods and doctors to Japan after the earthgquake. But, do we have to boast like the no-God Indian creatures like you?

Bangladeshi people should not curse Mashiur Rahman, the economic advisor to the PM for suggesting not to demand fees for the transit to Tripura. India is a very poor country. A transit fee will be too much of a burden to them.

You see, India exports even its food to BD even though their people are hungry. We pay them in dollar which they use to buy raw materials. We should show compassion to the poor India, and support their development in the NE.

:lol:Bangladesh GDP: $100 Billion

India's GDP : $1.4 Billion India's GDP is 14 times bigger than BD.

To the people that are reading the forum, ignore the trolls. Lets keep the conversation civil.

Transit can be by sea, river and land ports.

So there has to be well defined schedule of Handling fees for each service or fraction there of. ( loading, unloading, storage). Handling fees pays for the facility and services used.

But you are not providing any of these services...as they will not be needed...it is only a few hours trip across Bangladeshi territory..pray do tell ..why would we like to load/unload our goods in Bangladesh.
Insurance documents should be verifiable.

I asked you how many truckers in Bangladesh get their goods insured before transporting from point A to B..infact any loss on the way(due to accident etc) are born by the owner ..insurance culture in subcontinent is not the same as insurance culture in US.
No vehicle runs or goods transported without paying impact fees. Impact fees pay for the maintainance of the road.( foreign or domestic).

I believe, isn't that why you are charging transit fees
Inspection fees to check for weight, security, and health issues.

Will be covered in transit fees
A fee must be paid to access the roads.

Covered in Transit fees.
Tariff will guarantee the products would not be dumped somewhere in Bangladesh and protect against unfair advantage. Indian are known to invent tariffs

No, Tariff is a tax levied on import and export ..but this neither.

Taxes for all the services used.

covered in your transit fees
See folks in the end it is about demand. Bangladesh has no demand for services like this in foreign land, India has. India wants service, India pays for it. Or they can keep taking the scenic route thru the NE. If AL agrees to hurt BD interests they will be thrown out We all know the choices are simple.

Why would we want any special demand from you..if we are paying transit tax to you..then it automatically becomes your responsibility to ensure security of the goods.

I am not sure what kind logic you use ..but here is mine.

We offer you road transit for your good through Indian territory from point A to B and you do the same from us through Bangladesh.

I don't think this simple logic would have escaped many..but maybe you are a special breed.

We do not need any aid from a country like India. We want our transhipment fees. Period!!

I guess it wold work fine for us..we give you 10000Tk per container or 1000Tk/ ton as trans shipment fees and you continue to use your present route to transport goods to Nepal and Bhutan.

We gave them a nice $1bn loan with low % interest payment and also with the increase in trade between Tripura and Bangladesh, the Centre is considering a state government proposal for opening border markets and introducing flights on the Agartala-Dhaka-Chittagong routes.

It is not a LOAN, it is a CREDIT line. By using this credit line you are trying sell your sub-standard shoddy products to BD. This is why the credit line is not working any more, it has stalled even before it started. Check the reality. When our annual export is $21 billion and another $10 billion is sent by our workers abroad, we certainly do not need any kind of credit from a miser India that does not benefit us at all. We are surplus with dollar cash. But, India pushed this credit to benefit its own industry.

Very true so therefore you should pay fees to smaller GDP nation like Bd unless you and your government is miser. But remember one thing, it seems you are getting away because AL is letting you getting away, BNP already pledge to cancel all the anti Bangladeshi agreement and I am all most sure, people will gladly support them to oust Dalal AL sooner than later.

Well atleast your govt is smarter than you guys here..you would not know an 'opportunity' even if it hit you in the face.

.
Are they going to betray own people for sake of India?

This kind of people has no liability for BD because they look up to Indians. These are same people who collaborated with India to broke and weaken Islamic republic of Pakistan and now they are working to undermine Bd's sovereignty. But I have feeling and I believe we Bangladesh will not let them get away with this Ghaddari. AL already loosing ground and all nationalist forces are uniting to oust them traitors Insh'Allah.

We believe in God no need to bring religion up
