How can you be certain that there are no Indian pirates?

It seems that the marines were send to India because of confusion and politics inside Italy. If Italy has a stable government, this would not have happened. The marines will still be at home having their pastas for dinner instead of jail house curry.

It was confirmed by the Navy officer that they did not have any weapons on board..

First of all, India tricked the marines to enter India. Then India take advantage of the political turmoil in Italy to get the marines back to India. This is some sort of internal political game play by politicians in Italy. India just happen to be deceptive enough and fortunately enough. Once a stable Italian gov come into power, they will demand their marines back. And they will be returned without a noise.

Such people were salivating on happening of a similar such incident with respect to India.

Seems like it was all just a political stunt (that failed quite hilariously) for the Italian govt. These guys were used as a stunt to get some votes.

I'm having a fun time going over many italian pages on facebook . Many of them calling for boycotting and beating up Indians in Italy. Some of them were even dumb enough to suggest a rescue operation to bring the marines back were they convicted. It makes me wonder if eating pizza and pasta indeed kills brain cells , because these italians seemed to have every little of them , with what they were suggesting.

Since there is a bilateral treaty for prisoners in both countries to serve the sentence in their own respective lands. Why is our MSM not echoing this question of 140 Indian prisoners languishing in Italian prisons?

Italian Marines will do their time in their land, that is for sure.
Or may be not, they will be let off with a house arrest.
