#MarasiMedia undermines DGISPR: A Threat to Pak State

The root of this electables fiasco is the non party elections of 1985.

No, the root is deviating from the laws set within Quran.

Start with land reforms as per Quran, half of the problems and elite will vanish.

No one has attempted land reforms as yet.

Easy said than done. If we travel out of the big cities the rural mindset is completely different especially in the smaller provinces. They will never relinquish their thousands of years of history.Never has happened in the west either. In UK the Scots are again braising for another independence referendum.

Pointless comparison. Scots, Welsh and English killed each other in centuries of wars. No such thing between Pakistan's provinces!!

We do have the same bloody history as the Europeans where every Kingdom was at loggerheads with each other. Our Pashtoon brothers utterly despise the Armies of Punjabi Ranjith Singh even till today. Never forgot their conquests and brutality.A thing to remember that bulk of Rangith Sings Army were Muslim Punjabis. Same goes with the conquering Pashtun Armies that sacked Lahore many times etc etc. Sindhis still claim Multan to be part of their Historic Kingdom ETC ETC.

.
Some of them do, very likely. Others, not so much.
We've often seen parents/relatives of mass shooting incidents or terrorist attacks in the West appear in utter shock when confronted with the news of their loved ones being perpetrators of violence. Those emotions are not feigned - it's almost impossible for parents/siblings to reconcile the child/adult that they knew with the violent criminal espousing hatred being displayed on TV screens.

My point is that I don't doubt the parents of many of these 'missing persons' when they claim that their sons/daughters/fathers were peaceful, loving individuals until they 'vanished'. In the absence of institutional credibility and functioning judicial and law enforcement agencies, there is likely very little that will convince a parent that the child they knew as a 'normal & peaceful' individual was in fact being radicalized and vanished to join a terrorist group or was secretly involved with a terrorist group. But we know from multiple cases that this is usually what happens, that most, if not all, of the circle of family and friends is fooled into believing there is nothing wrong.

This is the sentiment that the PTM is exploiting and doing so criminally in my view given their deliberate use of fake imagery & refusal to acknowledge the steps taken by the State to address the issues that have been raised.

Pakistan's creation was not based on provinces. People need to pay heed to the Founder's guidance which was crystal clear.

I 100% agree with you but for 71 years it has never materialised. Some blame it on constant military take overs and some on deep rooted suspicions.
Before 1946 Quaid e azams main support came from the muslims of present day India and Bengal. In the present Pakistan, United Punjab was ruled by Sardar Sikander Hayat of the Unionist Party,NWFP by congress. Sindh by a coalition of GM Syed and Baluchistan mainly by the Khan of Qalat. Non of the current four provinces had any pro Pakistani pro Muslim league Govt.
If go to the British India Library Archives in London you will find a different history of Pakistan from what we were told. I will not go into details(opening a new Pandora box) of what force was instrumental in changing the loyalties of the Punjabi legislators, Sindhi legislators,Khan of Qalat and persuading Ghafar khan to hold a referendum in NWFP.

Well, the Missing Persons Case before the Supreme Court has many details about what happens in many, if not most, of these cases. There is ample material there that movements like PTM can derive their inspiration from, to be honest.

But, as you often say, there is no proof of any wrongdoing whatsoever by the agencies. None whatsoever.

And with presidential system it will give them thinking country wise rather than just province like supporting PMLN and PPP is good for us locally.I think that system worth try in current circumstances and we may get real politician rather than stupid Maryam nawaz, hamza and billo rani type just because their families got vote banks in any province

First of all it will not happen. Even if it happens there is no guarantee that Imran Khan will succeed with the level of his current popularity. It might end up with your worst nightmare with someone from the opposition?.The Establishments only love presidential system Globally when it has their Generals sitting on the top not any civilian.

Perception management works infinitely better with actual substance to back it up.

This single focus on perception management is very interesting. Considering the lack of substance to back that positive image.

The good thing is that such management is very easy. The bad thing is that it eventually falls flat on its face.

:-)

Gen Raheel (R) is a civilian now and he will be eligible to apply for the Presidential candidature come that time.

I have no issues with him being one of the candidates, as long as he goes through every single check and investigation as all others.

We need top man who knows how to lead, and has an excellent grasp of geopolitics as well as local issues. And he should be able to build a team of experts from any of any walk of life.

Candidate selectiin process has been posted by me here before. No rocket science.

I personally do like Gen Raheel Shareef as he was a tough and good General. But this does not mean he will prove Exceptionally good in the matters of governance and day to day affairs. As a nation we all had a love and hate relationship with our Generals. We tried development models(Ayub),Islamic models(Zia) and liberal models(Musharaf). In the beginning we hailed them all as our only saviours and later kicked them out as the source of all our ills.

Those 3 were dictators.

You really need to work on your parallels!

Agree but all of them legitimised themselves by different forms of elections and referendums. Regarding Raheel to succeed he will need some very strong backings otherwise he will end up like Musharaf Day dreaming. Not to undermine Raheels efforts to curb terrorism, unfortunately a lot of skeletons will emerge if he plunges into politics. Starting from his remunerations, helping Musharaf, undermining Civils and serving the Arabs.
He will find a lot of support in the GT road areas and maybe Karachi. How well he would fair in the rest of the land depends on how his former colleagues muster their support.

there seems to be strong view in pakistan by managing perceptions the underlying problems will disappear
