Check it out:
The Hindu : International : Iftikhar Chaudhary meets Asif Ali Zardari
Daily Times - Leading News Resource of Pakistan
Zardari's turn to lash out at judges | The Australian
The more things change, the more they remain the same.
Zardari meets, probably tried to get him to accept some deal where he gives up his post and becomes the new Governor of Balochistan. They couldn't come to an agreement and wham, he's slammed with some old charges.
Till date Iftikhar Choudhary has made it a point not to meet with any politician, then why make an exception with Zardari?
And why does Zardari want him out? He's being acquitted of all charges left and right these days, why would he want to bring in a player that would probably lean towards PML-N.
Remember Iftikhar Choudhary's goon, Aitzaz Ahsan is competing from NA-55 where PML-N member, Javed Hashmi, would be giving up his post. Why not PPP member as Aitzaz has historically belonged to PPP.
Rifts abound!
